- How do you build a #CombatReady culture in your company/department? 🤔👨🏻🚒
It starts with you, in whatever position or rank you are in.
⭐️ Join us on Monday, October 9, at 1900hrs EST for a special LIVE podcast on building company culture. ⭐️
With me will be the members of SFD Ladder 1, B-Shift - and this will be a unique opportunity to hear from the captain, engineer, and firefighter perspectives. We'll talk about their workflows, daily actions, fireground actions, and how their mindsets contribute to building an effective and cohesive company. Join Nick, Kevin Burges (Captain), Jake Richardson (Engineer) and Christian Lambis (Firefighter), from Salisbury Ladder 1 for some tactical truck company talk.
We’ll also be taking your questions live, or if you want to submit a question in advance, email emartin@combatreadyfire.com or drop a comment below.

I'm an officer on a small volly dept. We get a couple working fires a year and a couple mutual aid working fires. It's tough for me to get all the guys together at once for training, but I'm trying to do a better job of getting guys to see that even if we haven't been on a working fire in 6, 8, or even more months that we need to be ready for the worst situation we've ever faced. Not sure if any of you guys were or are still currently volunteers, but would love a little input on how you can get guys to want to train for something that they think may never happen in their life time on the dept.
THX!!! it's very important information for me and our service)))
This was a great show, Nick and the guys ftom Ladder 1. Love for my department to move this way better than we are.
25 minutes in…I hear the same thing “We’re the best truck company.” “You need the mindset.” “Train like you’re going to a fire.” All that is important but I just heard it 15 times. Let’s talk tactics and training and how to do it.
I can’t even begin to tell you how cringy this is..
