This was launched in India in Q4 of 2019 and since then has taken the SUV segment in India like a storm. Seltos has been the best selling SUV by a huge margin in India. Great car. I own one and love it.

I upgraded to the SX 3 months after purchasing the S model. I actually preferred the CVT over the dual clutch turbo. As stated in the video, the Turbo dual clutch is Extremely jerky at low speed, almost feels like someone driving a Stick for the 1st time. Turbo great acceleration, but the other draw back is much lower mpg, on average 5 mpg.
Lost my attention when I heard dual clutch. I have the same 1.6 and dual clutch in my Hyundai Tucson. Just wait till the odometer hits north of 10,000 miles. Sloppy, hesitates at every stop and start, stalls, etc. Mine has left me sitting in the middle of intersections and won't move until you pump the accelerator multiple times to get it going. It's just awful. Hyundai offers no more software upgrades on this transmission. It has so many problems in the Tucson in particular that Hyundai discontinued this transmission in the Tucson after 3 years.
In my opinion, only the VW makes good DCTs. Just because they have more experience. You car hardly distinguish between DSG and classical automatic transmission when driving.
@@Mark-xj8bu Because they took it out of Tucsons but didn't take it out of other vehicles, the Kona and the Venue have a dual clutch. I agree with Barry on DCTs and if you live in a city with any kind of stop and go traffic or even slow traffic, you're going to dislike DCTs. Tucson owners had a ton of trouble with the DCTs. Sadly though their new engine in Tucsons have LOUSY mileage. 21/26 if you're lucky. For a 4 cylinder that's awful.
Yeah he lost me with DCT. I test drove the Kona with one and it was zippy and dare I say fun, but after doing my homework on DCTs, and living in the city with TRAFFIC, I chose not to get one. I see a lot of used DCT Tucsons on the used lots. Is yours a lease or considering getting rid of it? What year?

How is the road noise on an Interstate? Also, a cool console is nice, but how does the stereo music sound? (on our Niro, any music played using Apply Car Play sounds dull and lifeless)
thought about getting volvo xc40, but a fully loaded one is around $45k. This kia must be a good alternative, as fully loaded is just around $28k. I just love contrasting roof paint
Bought one of these in February and love it. I do wish these reviews would include a model with the standard engine, as to me, if you are buying one of these things for the practicality of it and the lower cost, I would think you'd want to know how the cheapest versions ride (and also the ones that get the best gas mileage). I know nothing about cars, but I see nothing wrong with the standard engine in mine. Has plenty of pep when necessary, and the FWD version, which is what I have, has been getting 34-36 mpg in mixed driving. Would like to see the competition beat that. I believe the Seltos also beats its competition in cargo space, which is another component I believe most would be considering in a sub-compact.
Great video.. I love you dude.. your upbeat.... Question I'm looking at a Kia Sportage also. Which one would you go with fully loaded not including the Sportage sx..just the s. Your 5 stars in my book. let me know thx

Sounds like a Kona with a different badge. I would stay away from a turbo GDI engine and stay with the 2.0 MPI. It wont win any races, but it is really reliable and quiet. There's no GDI. It's a basic DOHC running in the Atkinson cycle...gas mileage should be pretty good.
Rav4 and Crv stupidly become bigger than before, they didnt realise how small SUV still important in most people.. not all SUV owner use their compartment fully.. so why buy big SUV?
I really like the look but I feel like the next generation is gonna include way more premium features like they could’ve made this fully loaded like they did with a Forte but they wanted to see how it would sell. Kia is really becoming THAT 👏🏾GIRL 👏🏾

We get lesser safety features. Plus the local manufacturing. This one has AWD and has an independent suspension both of which are not there in India. And both of those are expensive components.
@POISON it has nothing to do with lives. AWD and independent suspension are primarily ride enhancing technologies. Independent suspension gives you more comfy ride, AWD gives you a more sporty vehicle. Kia has given all the standard safety tech. Any video you do gets a thumbs up from me. You're awesome.
