Hey Brad, the white powder is called DFM - it's a probiotic that helps balance the bacteria in the bees' guts. It looks messy and chaotic to us, but these girls will have themselves and the hive cleaned in no time. They love this stuff. It has no effect on the honey production or taste. Thanks for watching!

The Swifer towels have been working great for us also. Catching way more beetles in the towels vs. the various types beetle traps.
