PEN: A TWSBI 580 fountain pen, Extra fine nib. Platinum Carbon black ink.
PAINT COLORS:
Ultramarine blue
Yellow ochre
Hunter green
Burnt sienna
Davys grey
Quinacridone fuchsia
PAPER: Size- 5"x7"
Arches 140lb Cold Press Paper for this Video.
My papers of choice include Arches and Fabriano 140lb Hot press and Cold press paper and Strathmore 500 series Sketchbooks. All are 100% cotton rag.
For beginners, I recommend starting with a high quality paper and experimenting with different types. As your style develops, you'll get a feel for which type is best. Waiting to switch to a better quality paper later will be much like learning to paint all over again.
BRUSH: A #3 round and Polar Flo 1/2 inch flat brush. The bristles were originally white but have become stained.

Just so fun wondering what color you were going to paint the last house or if you were going to leave it white. The clouds are glorious and I’m going to give them a go. I found it fascinating that the yellow house is to warm and welcoming, has the only full door and the birds chose it to visit. Are you trying to tell us something??🧐. I love your paintings and learning how you do them - it would be beneficial though if your lighting was better as your sketching is often in a shadow - love how you show how to mix colors

Is your paint holder a recycled gum pack !? What are you using for a palette? I am putting together a travel kit for a trip. Tried painting the bottom of a clear plastic side dish white to use as a lightweight palette ....but of course paint beads up ,grrr!

How do you like using the 580? I have three TWSBI Ecos and would not trade them for anything. I love them! Is your mixing palette a ceramic tile? It kind of looks like it. I like how you do your buildings. There is a house a few blocks from where I live that is painted bright yellow. It really stands out even on a cloudy day.

@@bobbythompson263 Hi, Bobby. I just think that because the shadow of the hand covers the process of drawing. I prefer to draw (I'm right-handed) with the font of light on my left.
