Your paintings are wonderful Gary. I've Already done the green crooked house. Great when we can see a painters palette & colours on screen. Keep 'em coming.
Gary, I love it when you pop up in my you tube feed. You are inspiring, I need to make a trip to the art store and get more brushes. Keep uploading your amazing watercolors.
Now that I watched it trough, I learned so much! 1: the trees on the back ground, how simple yet genius! Don't think like we'll, everybody should know that. I am an idiot 😂 2.mixing ultramarine and and payne's grey makes a perfect shadow colour 3. When you paint trees, start from the middle where the stumpy things are, do not listen to the artist saying it was a mistake 4. Sometimes bird sounds fit perfectly with a video
Your pictures are so unbelievable, wonderful. Where have you been all those years? I am looking foward to seeing and learning more from you! Please never stop🙏💕
So much fun to watch… love your composition and palette… always like the look of salt effects… can be tricky to time with right amount of water on paper. 🙏🏼🎨✨💕
I'm loving your style and so glad I found your channel. I have only completed a handful of watercolors (I started in March of 23) and seem to have taken a break, but, you've inspired me to pick it all back up! Would love to be able to show you some of my work for some feedback

This is the first video I’ve watched of yours and so impressed with the format. You explain everything. For someone just really starting out in watercolour (have been practicing and playing) this information is invaluable. Thank you 🙏 Subscribed.
I've watched quite a few of your videos, really like your style and simplicity. I noticed you seem to struggle with your washes coming out much lighter than you intended, resulting in having to rework areas multiple times. I had a similar problem, and it was so frustrating. I finally determined I was setting up my colors the way I wanted on my palette, but then coming into them to pick up paint with too wet of a brush, even though I was blotting my brush after rinsing. I found a simple switch to a cheap cotton washcloth for blotting fixed it pretty much immediately, it had a higher absorption rate than the disposable paper towels or even thick shop cloths I was using before, and my colors made it to the paper without dilution. The washcloths stain a bit but are perfectly reusable after a toss in the wash. Just in case that helps.
I love your style of sketching. A quick question: for the sky/background you started with pale yellow and then added blue , but it didn't turn green. How did you stop that from happening?... Did the yellow completely dry first? (I'm pretty much a beginner, as you probably can tell.)
Where did you get the new pallete? I've been looking for 1 like it. Do you have an affiliate link to where you bought it? I'm learning so much from your videos. Thanks!
6:15: very interesting effect the salt produces............... but what is the long-term effect of sodium chloride (or low-sodium??!!) salt on the paint/medium/etc as well as on the paper ?? many water-colorists i see on the tube are fairly specific about the type of papers they use.......... so.......... salt ??
Simple you say ❤😊...but sooooo beautiful ....thank you Garry for sharing your amazing watercolour paintings with us .

new subscriber here! wow 😮 that’s beautiful 😮🎉
Thank you
Hello, beautiful work🎉🎉. Why didn’t the blue at the horizon produced a green over the Naples Yellow?
Cool! Nice palette, why didn't you get the big one?
it's gortex.
Great painting! You said you added the blue over the yellow sky while wet but it didn't go green. Why? Thanks
Thank you. The yellow part had dried and I wet the top so the colours didn't actually mix...a light glaze over the yellow.
Ohhhh my god, veeeeeerrrryyyy goooooòod
thank yooouuu.
😃🤠👏

Thank you. I wanted to avoid the green sky so I waited until the yellow dried completely.
Where did you get the new pallete? I've been looking for 1 like it. Do you have an affiliate link to where you bought it? I'm learning so much from your videos. Thanks!
Thanks. I got the pallette from Amazon.

To be honest I haven't given it any thought. I didn't know that was a thing. I get mine from the kitchen... I think it's sea salt.
Ohhh nice!!!❤😊
Which brand of colours do you use?
thanks. daniel smith and windsor newton
When do you run the salt off?
I just wait until it is completely dry.
@@garyfrederick8419 thank you.
What is the point of speeding up a tutorial? Ugh!
I have my full length videos over on Patreon.
Got a sub from me!! Love your work!
