Background Removal: Cleaner results with GIMP's Fuzzy Select Tool!

Hey man, great video. But I have a question.
I am using a Macbook. When I use the fuzzy tool, I have to hold down the touchpad to select the item I want.
Shouldn't it be a one-click selection? I can't do anything when I'm holding down the touchpad.
Have I missed a setting somewhere?
