I’m always late to the party, but I am jumping headfirst into Moonstone. I love the art, the mechanics and the minis are beautiful. Such a gorgeous table presence.
Really lovely, interesting interview, great to watch - thank you!
i do hope we get to see more Moonstone content
MORE, MORE, MORE, so refreshing to see the enthusiasm and love for the community from the man who made it possible. I would love to hear Tom’s thoughts in terrain choices for games of Moonstone.
Great interview
I finally got myself the starter and two expansions. Putting together Doug the Flatulent while watching this :)
I really love the look of Moonstone, both the minis and rules, but I have only so many hours in a day :(
The fairies will probably end up in my collection, though.
The simplicity of the game is what makes it genius in a genre of rules bound, weedy skirmish games. Throw in the beautiful models and the unique concept and lore makes this the ultimate Beer and Pretzel game. I mean , come on,,how can't ya do a bit of role-playing when ya just killed your opponents toughest guy with a fart:) Outstanding Tom and thanks !
Just getting into game - nice interview:) really cool . One question is vid is about a year old so is the 4 th faction fairly close ? And will it be kickstarter ? Until then I’m trying decide what faction - leaning Norse gnomes :)
Yes, kickstarter next month(ish)
I love how Tom is just a leak machine
I do have a question. Are giants and trolls tied to certain factions?
Giants typically are associated with Commonwealth and trolls with Dominion/Leshavult, but there are exceptions to that rule so you're likely to find one to fit your troupe
I adore Moonstone and own almost every figure; however, I am starting to have some difficulties with the design. I find a lot of the minis are starting to feel very samey and remind me of old board game dungeon crawl design, where figures just end up with plus 1 this or minus 1 that and every crew now feels like a bubble crew. Malifaux is a great example of a game where every character feels very unique and while some powers may repeat, each character will often have a few defining abilities. Also, I know the game is called Moonstone but I would really love some alternative objectives that go beyond a giant cluster near the middle of the game board. I don't know how long the game will continue to go if every game feels somewhat like the last game.
