- "You believed you had won... that your achievements outweighed your losses... that your sacrifices meant something, anything." SPOILERS! The Echoes of Oblivion storyline in Star Wars: The Old Republic follows a danger introduced to the player by Kira Carsen and Lord Scourge, and wraps up many storylines from past Old Republic stories and expansions.
This video shows all the cutscenes related to this arc, starting with the re-introduction of Kira and Scourge as well as what they found while they had been gone from the known galaxy (SWTOR short quests The Lingering Darkness, The Task at Hand and Signal from Noise).

I love the fact that Satele sets up the trap that gets Tenebrae killed. In the novel Revan, Bastila can't go with Revan to confront the Emperor because she's pregnant. Even years later, when the Exile went after Revan, Bastila chose to stay and take care of his son instead. And because of that choice, Revan's line continued through the centuries, until Satele, his descendant, helped bring about his death. It makes Bastila a part of this victory as well.

I hate the hair. Nice to see her, but as usual she gets overshadowed by Revan, despite ALL of SWTOR building off everything laid out in KOTOR 2.

I loved Tenebrae's voice! Dripping with hatred and malice and scorn for the versions of himself. Right now next to the Mandalorian the old republic has the best star wars storytelling to date. Everything connected and made sense. Those cameos.....that "end game".
There's a few things I have been thinking about since my convo with charles boyd last year, with the emperor's contingency plan foiled, I am pondering 2 things. Will darth Jadus finally return to this galaxy with more power than before, maybe team with malgus to take over the empire, with malgus getting revenge on acina and vawrown? Also since we were in satele's mind. Maybe tenebrae isn't really gone just imprisoned in there....
That was just the catharsis I needed to push through the rest of 2020. Also, HOLY CRAP! That is a lot of story threads they tied up. And not even from this game either. Good on them!

@@Swtorista I'm so happy they pay attention to the forums and stuff for reactions to characters. I had felt so guilty with our "treatment" of Vaylin, especially after seeing parts of her story in the cinematic, and then other parts filled in within KotET that make her out to be more a victim of her circumstances and not a villain by choice, but conditioned into a monster. Having the option to apologize was very satisfying personally, and I wonder if that dialogue choice will affect...whatever awaits that restless spirit Senya's message mentions ;]

FINALLY more Lord Scourge! Enjoyed this Sith in the KOTOR: Revan book. Even though he pulled a Weenie Hut Jr. move at the end and got scared lmao
I really like the subtle difference in the final fight cutscene. When Tenebrae focuses the attack on your character, from what I can tell, if you are light sided, Kira braces the blow and prevents your character from getting knocked down. Opposite alignment, Scourge is knocked down next to you and helps you up.
Sadly the german voices were not all the original ones. Otherwise a 9/10 Story. Revans Arc ended best way possible. Sadly this awesome Tenebrae Design is put to waste after this short time. I loved him.

@@martinkorlie i think the Marr actor died, if so thats understandable. The others i have no idea. Valkorion just got the same voice as Daerrun now, without any diffrence.
@@Barnak410 Luckily the Darth did aswell. So we dont need a replacement anymore. His voice acting was unique.
@@Barnak410 I still wonder why Valkorion got a new Voice. Every other seemed to have the right voice... Valkorion was awesome in the Zakuul Arc, but just Okay in Echoes. Vitiate was to my liking, finally no dark voice filters.

This is a glorious ending to Tenebrae and the Sith Emperor, loved every second of this, even the fight when I had no idea what was going on xD
So pleasantly surprised to see Meetra Surik there! In general this was some of the best fan service ever. Like an endgame moment, but KOTOR + KOTOR 2 + SWTOR

I don't think so. Jennifer hale just has a lot of voice acting roles and been doing sateles for 9+ years.

@swtorista Thanks for this, Swtorista. I love the Valkorian Storyline. I don't play the game anymore but I love the emotions and conversations in this game. I hate this ending but I guess they really needed to close this out. I find it funny that Satele couldn't beat the Passionate Empire but she could end Passionless Tenebrae. I think a person who has lived thousands of years would be beyond petty constructs like ego but thanks for the 45 minute recording.

I was enjoying this update (and especially very emotional Scourge) till the final battle during which I felt VERY confused on wtf is going on. And mandalorian FP was disappointing tbh, all the same mistakes they made when Traitor among the chiss FP first came out, like way too fat bosses and huge packs of fat mobs on every damn step... I felt drained after getting one character through this and still have dozen more to go, and not all them are geared as well as first one, hopefully they’ll do something about that.

The biggest points of interest I took from the whole story, is the development that Scourge had with his regained emotions, and finally seeing the face of Tenebrae.
PS: Satele and her students were in a quarantine due to a plague. Why do I feel that I know from where they got their inspiration...
I just wish it was longer, felt very fast to play through.
not a bad story but i really want them to do more villain type stories, specifically for the sith classes. i always loved that sith warrior class story was a menace for the republic, they should really mix up that u can fight kira, scourge or and other great characters from the republic and really give your character more villain feel and can choose redemption arc or just continue being evil. this is what i feel however

I totally forgot about all of this so I thought they just did Echoes of Oblivion out of nowhere and had a hard time enjoying it completely. bummer that the updates were delayed for so long.
Yes! I had trouble remembering too which is why I backtracked on a different character for the beginning.
Satele was MVP in this story
It was good story, but I was a bit disappointed in how short this update was. Also why does Satele show up as a Voss in the Companion menu.

The worst thing is that even if we would get another KOTOR (and this may happen one day, as SW is now once again pretty popular), we now know the plot after KOTOR2. SWTOR shouldn't bring back the old plot and keep it a mistery with some hints from time to time, while focusing at a different story.

According to Satele’s letter 2 of the students were thought to be dead, though only 1 returned to the living...
I am guessing she may have possessed the student or it was a red herring

Why was this better then the raise of sky walker ending
I have tried for hours to get the "one time password" SWTOR has sent to my email to work. Once I get the email and copy and paste the code into the SWTOR site it says its invalid
I had to change my email address to get mine to work,and for some reason it was sending all my stuff to my backup email, hope this helps ya
@@suribuxton9079 I get an email from SWTOR with a one time access code. Its when I put that code in on the SWTOR site it says invalid. Its their own damn code LOL

I recognize some like Arcans siblings, the exile, I think one of the mask wearing guys is darth Baras and the Jedi Master from the consular story that was part of the emperors children. But many of the others I have no idea who are.

I loved Echos of Oblivion, but now I’m stuck of the Spirit of Vengeance flashpoint lol, how do you get past the first boss?
Haha. I have no idea, the flashpoint bigger so much I can't get thru it.
I think they fixed it. I am iffy on it. It feels like they are making FPS for those who have great endgame gear. Even on story/solo mode the last few FPS are very hard to get through. I thought the latest one was just too long and kind of boring with waves of mobs.
I did enjoy echoes didn’t care for the pathways.
@@Ryversongfan even so, I was able to do the flashpoints in Knights of The Eternal Throne althought I had a little trouble when I did the Nathema Conspiracy. This flashpiont I feel is impossible.

I just resubscribed a few days ago after a year away & not playing during that time.
I have gotten to level 75, but I do not know how to access this new content. I think I have finished Onslaught, but I'm not entirely sure. Can someone help me out?
You can play this update only after you have completed onslaught. If you haven't played it, take a look at your ship on the mission log and you should show onslaught there. If you did, but you finished, you should have for the republic side Tau Idair in the compaine "window" and for the imps Darth Malgus.

I know people might disagree, but the recent release of Cyberpunk 2077 only made me want to play SWToR. I'm new to the cyberpunk genre and didn't realize how Cyberpunk Swtor is. Lol🎄🤓🤟
Did Doug Bradley reprise his role? He sounds a bit different as well. But he is getting older, and it sounds like they didn't bother "enhancing" his voice like the time Vitiate was the original baddie.
When I played this mission, I hated the mind area...its just not my thing. Overall, I give the ending of this expansion a solid 7/10. It isnt great (considering the amount of waiting we had to do to get this minor content), but it does wrap up so many different stories (from Revan to the class character to Satele)

this mission "feels" like kotet,kotfe expansion. alliance vs the emperor(s). for me that expansion it is the best part of the game.
i hope they finally go away from the whole "jedi knight" story they have stuck us with for the past few years (while it was overall good you just seem so out of place as a non force user class)

Well, it looks like mandalorians are going to be the focus of the next big story, so you'll probably get your wish.
yeah, I actually pitched that the non force users could have given us a view of the war against the eternal empire. The trooper and mando would be defending alligned planets with a finally duel that takes place at their respective captial planets which we would lose and be frozen in carbonite. The agent and smuggler story would take place earlier investigating attacks on outer rim outpost and tracing it back to zakuul. Smuggler would be going undercover as a smuggler selling exotic offworld goods trying to gain info about zakuul, while the agent would go into the old world to infiltrate the order of zildrog. Eventually both are betrayed and are defeated by vaylin and frozen in carbonite. When those classes are rescued it still goes the same but instead of being the commander of the alliance we join an alliance, and do missions for the mysterious alliance commander. Recruitment missions etc. ..... But is what it is, and look they connected everything well with this expansion.
@@SWTORGaming2187 Shame those ideas were axed, they sounded interesting, but I guess the developers wanted to streamline things, and that's how we got the story we have (not that it's bad, but it is odd to non-force users).
Still, those ideas sound like cool ideas for a fanfic or something.
