It most likely You don't have a chance or money to make Your car road legal tho. It depends of what kind of car is that. If You have an old Honda Civic with stiffer suspension or lets say stance with a loud exhaust and the car did cost £500 to make it road legal You can count with £3000 certificate wise. Althought if You have an already expensive car then it "worth it" more though. To have it MOT over there is different by the shame here in UK. You can't cover modifications with You insurance You actually need to get an engineer to test it for You that mod's.

well, technically, since this one is registered in the Britain, its legal to drive in Germany. However, imagine being overtaken by this sofa on the Autobahn.
@@MrDalgard No, it is not. It doesn't comply with German laws and safety regulations, therefore you couldn't drive it in Germany. A lot of truckers from Eastern Europe learn that the hard way, when they are controlled on the Autobahn and police finds that the truck doesn't comply with German safety regulations, because things haven't been fixed properly or the tires are worn out or something like that.
Britain is probably the only country in the world where this thing is street legal.
Please watch colin furze...we encourage creativity even if it is left field... cant see how doung 200mph legally on a highway could be less risky than edd driving his sofa at 70😂

Nice to see Edd on Car Throttle, since I grew up on Wheeler Dealers. It is amazing to understand now what he says in english, and this episode was absolutely crazy. @@TheObsesedAnimeFreaks In my country it's nearly impossible to make something like the Casual Lofa road legal, but even if you ended up making it road legal, you should be registered as a car manufacturer, so even if you got the OK from the MOT, you would be required to be a manufacturer to get the plates.
You can't even make a kit car road legal, you need a mechanical workshop to build it (well to certify its build but no one would do that unless they build it, to make sure they don't get in troubles) and even if you make them build it and certified, it must be EU homologated (so no USA Kit Cars) and you will have to comply lots of shitty requirements
@@kiliang96 more stupid regulations to protect stupid companies and give the illusion of protecting "consumers." if you can't tell i'm not a fan of regulations and feel that idiot consumers should be educated consumers that do their damn research and choose the best product for what they need. that includes safety and other shit. also fun fact, in the US there is a stupid regulation that actually makes cars less safe... you can't have a harness in the car on sale, or it will be considered a "racecar" and not be street legal. Imagine that, a regulation that makes cars LESS safe. who would have thought. but even more so, you should allow individuals to build whatever vehicles they want if you want to fuel culture and creativity... something that is obviously lacking in a LOT of countries. Have you seen how many SUVs look exactly the same? yeah... that's the state we are in.
