The redwood groves Greg speaks of are magnificent. Standing among the giants in these groves gives me a great appreciation and deep sense of protectiveness. We will be driving through Prairie Creek soon. Dust and exhaust are detrimental to redwoods. Layers of dust impedes their full ability to take in the fog drip. I've recently suffered a knee injury so I'm hampered from hiking. I fully embrace closing the roads through the most destructive roads. I live on the Sonoma Coast and see overwhelming destructive behavior from throngs of tourists every year. I would appreciate knowing if Greg has a formal campaign regarding closing the roads in Prairie Creek, that the public can join. I just purchased Greg's book out of concern for SRL's new proposed acquisition of the Burch Family's 400 acres along the Russian River. Thanks so much for this interview.
Greg sure knows this interviewer and audience dropping the comment about Marx and CA capital owners. Mitch, it would be fascinating to hear more on Marx and CA. Also, would love to hear more of a local history of redwoods and Oakland. My home in east Oakland was built out of redwood just after the 1908 earthquake
