This was already on my TBR and your review just made me more excited for it. I loved The Hacienda and really enjoyed the horror/historical fiction combo. I have been trying to add more Latin American titles to my reading list (Blackcake, Dangers of Smoking Bed, Women of Light, etc.) because unfortunately, I do not have a lot of knowledge about these cultures outside of the basics.
Yes! I've really been loving historical horror especially from Latin America. Mariana Enriquez has become one of my favorites. I also recently discovered V. Castro, The Haunting of Alejandra was so good.
