Nice seeing the old Police cars and the Pirsch aerial in action, also old 44, and the Fargo Salvage. In today's terminology that would be considered an Upgraded Fire.
There have been many warehouse fires along that stretch and in that area over the past 50 years. The 900 block of Walker Road saw a huge warehouse fire in the first week of July in 1985.
I recall this fire. I lived a block away. I've seen 3 videos now all from my neighborhood. This one ended with a credit to Charles Fox. Wondering if he was the source of all three and if he was the same Mr. Fox who lived on the corner of Argyle and Cataraqui.
Some sweet classic FD wheels! Chief in the Impala wagon with his own driver!
Awesome footage! Great to see the old apparatus at a working fire
Great music!!!! So 70's. Love the channel btw!!!!
By Marc Fedak a very talented Windsor native.
Catching up on so many great videos caught on film.
Another good one Mike, keep 'em coming !
Thanks Ray.

was that the warehouse that had all those old cars stored .
Man, no SCBA's for those firefighters either. Thanks for the video! Feel free to submit it to Windsor History if you like. I'll approve the post asap.
Some of the biggest fires in Windsor have happened within these couple blocks of Walker Road. And historically within steps of a fire station.
Yes, and many of them made paint.
Wow! Is their any archives of the Essex explosion in 79 or 80? I was a baby , living a few kms away in town and it cracked our windows.

Yes it is the same Mr Fox. That is where he lived. He shot a lot of great stuff.
@@MikeEvansWindsor lol shit
Whoops!
I take it the audio is re-enacted and not the real deal....since this was a silent film.
