I can understand that the music nowadays can hardly make one enjoy a peaceful relaxing moment and even can be injurious to health. But to call music as haram is overreaching. Especially when he admits that there isn't any verse against music in the Quran but hadith. In today's world where every sect accepts and rejects one or the other hadith of another sect, a sincere Muslim can be left with no choice but to at least hold on to what the Quran states. And how can we conclude that music is haram? When the world that God created has rhythm and melody imbedded in it's everything. From patting of the rain drops to the splashing of the waves, from whistling of the winds to the rustling of the leaves, from twittering of the birds to the singing of the dolphins, to name but a few. Not to mention the very Quran to which we say that it calls music haram, has a rhythm imbedded in it's verses and is sung in melody when recited. Prophet Mohammad was a copy of the Quran, his words would never contradict the Quran if it does then it is not his words. Quran states " do not disrupt the balance" by rejecting music we inherently are going against the nature and the very spirit of the Quran.
If you are saying that we can hardly find a correct hadith, then it is wrong. Because Allah said in Quran that Allah raised the sayings of Rasool. In every century, there remained a party of Muhadiseen who spent there whole lives for the protection of Sahih hadith. Moreover, when Rasool (PBUH) and his companions (PBUH) read Quran, the disbelievers of Makkah start singing song. So, it is haram. Now, if you like music and want a hadith or ayat in the favor of it then it is wrong.

I can understand that the music nowadays can hardly make one enjoy a peaceful relaxing moment and even can be injurious to health. But to call music as haram is overreaching. Especially when he admits that there isn't any verse against music in the Quran but hadith. In today's world where every sect accepts and rejects one or the other hadith of another sect, a sincere Muslim can be left with no choice but to at least hold on to what the Quran states.
And how can we conclude that music is haram? When the world that God created has rhythm and melody imbedded in it's everything. From patting of the rain drops to the splashing of the waves, from whistling of the winds to the rustling of the leaves, from twittering of the birds to the singing of the dolphins, to name but a few. Not to mention the very Quran to which we say that it calls music haram, has a rhythm imbedded in it's verses and is sung in melody when recited. Prophet Mohammad was a copy of the Quran, his words would never contradict the Quran if it does then it is not his words.
Quran states " do not disrupt the balance" by rejecting music we inherently are going against the nature and the very spirit of the Quran.
If you are saying that we can hardly find a correct hadith, then it is wrong. Because Allah said in Quran that Allah raised the sayings of Rasool.
In every century, there remained a party of Muhadiseen who spent there whole lives for the protection of Sahih hadith. Moreover, when Rasool (PBUH) and his companions (PBUH) read Quran, the disbelievers of Makkah start singing song. So, it is haram. Now, if you like music and want a hadith or ayat in the favor of it then it is wrong.
