He was brilliant. You can't help liking him regardless of what an asshole he is. I shudder to think of Rutger Hauer - Rice's personal choice - in the part.

The editing is just is amazing. The best horror is always unseen. We see that entire family, grandparents, parents and small kids enjoying themselves innocently. When they clap and you see Lestat smirking and tapping his cane you just know how savage they are. They love the thrill of luring people into a false sense of security. You think you're about to watch something shocking when she starts playing the second tune, but it just cuts right to the funerals. Whatever you're thinking it couldn't have been pleasant, but we never need to see it happen to know just how evil they are. Their smiles say it all.

the "funny bits" are perfectly campy "vampire humor" lines...just enough to lighten things up but still maintain the sobriety that prevails through the whole film. that's a fine line to walk, and it's perfectly navigated! soooooo good! :))

In the books claudia is the most evil character. She made games of killing like a few characters did but she also went on to haunt Louis and lestat after her passing almost driving both to suicide
I wouldn't say evil they did make her a vampire and trapped her in a child's body. She would have died anyway from the plague but maybe she would have preferred that if she had known what would happen. Maybe as a child she wouldn't have known just yet.

When he first bit into her, he felt her heartbeat so strong and so he claimed that she was "too strong for him" that he couldn't kill her. But Lestat brought her to him Louis couldn't resist and he bit her again, this time to the point of death and so Lestat turned her into a vampire. Right away Louis mentioned that he immediately felt her allure attraction because her body was childish but her eyes were luminous like the eyes of a woman and he in a way fell for her because something in her reminded him of a human woman he was fond on in his plantation. Eventually, as Claudia became to grow up (mentally) after around sixty-something years Louis openly confesses that he loves her and Claudia calls him "Lover" at one point. In the books it is not always clear that they do feel sexual attraction the way humans do. Lestat is seen feeling pleasure in seducing his victims but they mainly focus to the pleasure and bliss they get when they feel their victims' heartbeats as they kill them. They appear to have desires but never clearly hint they bed someone. Their main lust appears to be translated by their need to feed and they satisfy it because the act of feeding appears to be very intimate to them.

It's a piano variation that goes into the orchestral version of Handel's Concerto B Flat Major Op. 4 No 6. Andante Allegro! It's such a small musical phrase that you'll find about 5 minutes into this piece! It literally took me years to discover this 😂
The last composition is two pieces. I don't know the first part that she begins to play on the piano, but the second is layered over the piano and its from the movie score, the final part of the Track "child's play". Its a shame, it is a beautiful intro. would make for a great work!
