    I wish Ford would have made the tailgate like that for the Ranger. It just looks better!

    Very nice work! You say it now needs lots of filler (plastic), so in my mind I would have saved a whole bunch of time and used panel adhesive (plastic) and had the whole job done in a day.

    Ive got a 1994 splash project that hopefully is ready for paint when it warms up again. Your truck looks great, would you mind telling me if thats a ford color and if not, the paint code?

    • @paule01
      @paule01  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I hope your paint job goes well and this colour is a factory Ford Ranger colour. Paint code is E4

    What’s the year and model of the tailgate you used?

    • @paule01
      @paule01  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not 100% sure on the year but it was off a Ranger from the late 80s

    Your doing some good work. I hate to be that guy it may be how I'm looking at it. The filler you welded in (handle spot) the line is not as sharp as the rest of it. Sorry if it's me just let me know and I'm not a keyboard cowboy. Hell I wouldn't try to do what some of you guys do. I did sub unless you don't want me to let me know.

    • @paule01
      @paule01  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and you're absolutely right, I struggled a ton with the filler piece for the handle. The line isnt as sharp and lt need a good amount of body work to fix. When I started this project I didnt have very much tig welding sheet metal experience so that handle filler piece being the first piece of the project I think shows that lack of experience. And thanks for subbing also, constructive criticism is always welcome!

      @@paule01 Well that's pretty damn good I have wanted to tig but funds you know.

      @paule01  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@endall6783 if you just need to weld steel there are some pretty cheap tig machines that have some good reviews. I have an Everlast welder that has been good to me
