      @rustybear5125 Tom Cruise is also an actor though also a stuntman is not exactly obliged to keep rolling a scene after suffering a serious injury either. It's their job to put their lives at risk so the actors won't have to and they know they might suffer injuries in the process but they are not really obliged to run around with broken bones either.
      Tom Cruise had no obligation do his own stunts. I wonder what is embarrassing about what the commenter said.

    So a few years after Interview with a Vampire came out in 2000 I was in Telluride Colorado teaching Brad Pitt to snowboard for a week. On the second day I saw Tom Cruise and said to Brad "I don't usually point out celebrities to my students but since you're both in the business Tom Cruise is right over in that lift line. Brad immediately jumped up and hobbled over to Tom (one foot still strapped into his snowboard). When Brad came back he said they made plans. Brad went to Tom's place for dinner and after they took out his sno-machines and they had a blast. Brad said they buried the snow-mobiles and they'd have to dig them out in the spring. They have different personalities but there is no beef there. Also can you imagine how much a movie would cost with both of them getting their usual fee. Too expensive.

    You know, just because Brad Pitt is an endearing person and character actor doesn’t mean that everything that comes out of his mouth is gold. “Valkyrie” was at least based on a true story even though Tom Cruise‘s character portrayal was odd because he was the only actor in the film with an American accent. “Inglourious Bastards”, although a very entertaining film, was 80% fantasy, and had only one small plot connection with reality.

      And I can guarantee you, there are more world 2 stories to tell. I would love to see Tom Cruise do a remake of Audie Murphy, the most decorated America soldier in history. Remake the movie hell and back. Actors should start making movies of men who have been awarded the Medal of Honor. If you read these almost amazing citations for these heroes, you would see some amazing movies. My great grandfather was a Medal of Honor in WW1 and was shot around 7 times but still held on to the Hill with only a few men left. And then refused medical attention until his men were taken care of first. There were so many men killed until they worked all the way down the ranks to my great grandfather, who then received a battlefield promotion to keep the hill, and that's what he did.

    One of my favourite Lestat quotes from the movie:
    "Oh Louis, Louis... Stiiiill whining, Louis! Have you heard enough?? I've had to listen to that - for centuries!"
    I notice Tom Cruise wasn't quoted as saying ANYTHING at ALL about Brad. One could just as easily replace the "Louis" in Lestat's quote with "Brad" and "centuries!" to "decades!" if Tom ever said anything, which obviously, he's not going to. That whole... "What Jean says about Susan says a lot more about Jean than it does about Susan" deal (??)
    But I mean - whinge whinge whinge... 😭 Brad Pitt gets to play an iconic character in one of the most interesting books of his century and he's actually WHINGING about... the weather in London? Oh and it was sooo dark and depwressing 🎻 and they'd start filming at night and oh they'd FINISH filming at night too! 😭 It was a VAMPIRE film! 🙄
    And seriously?? What actor does nothing but whine about getting play the joint lead in "Interview With the Vampire"?! I hardly knew who Brad Pitt WAS before that film.
    And - oh poor Brad also didn't even READ the book. Tom Cruise DID, and it SHOWED. Although... I guess if nothing else, all of Brad's suffering 🎻 did make for a VERY annoyingly whiney Louis! 😄

He can play drama, action, and comedy. Tom is gorgeous, youthful, and leads a clean life, whether you like his religion or not. He’s a superstar and a class act as well. Disappointed in Brad disparaging Tom, maybe he’s insecure about his acting ability. He banks on his good looks, but he’s looking haggard lately, maybe from drinking and drugs. Inglorious Basterds is a fantasy film, not a war movie. I like most Tarantino films, but that was was terrible (imo). How that goofy alternate history film puts a lid on WW2 movies is ridiculous. Good WW2 movies are based on actual events, not fictional stories souped up with unlikely heroes, unrealistic characters and false story lines. The best WW2 depictions of all time, by far, are Band of Brothers and Pacific - although those are mini series and not films. For the record, I think Pitt is a good actor and love many of his films (Se7en, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Snatch, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood...). I also like Tom Cruise movies for the most part since I'm not much younger than him I grew up with him in the theater.

      @aleksisuuronen5969 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slimturnpike it's for the movie going beyond taking liberties with the true story aspect to the point of pretty much being fiction. It's normal to agalmate people into one character or multiple happenings into a one scene, maybe even if neccesary create a set-piece that didn't happen if the movie is too empty without it pace wise. Create some tension here and there. That movie just goes from based on true story to loosely inspired by real events abd that's where the comment comes. Ofc also for Pitt simply disliking Cruise.. propably in every sense of hollywood. It's an ok movie but almost a total sham as bsck then marketed in a Big way with the true story aspect. It goes beyond the normal of yeah we get it, it's not a documentary with it. It's a ww2 "true story" movie, Pitt most likely disliked how they went about it. Only way the comment makes sense. The movie is ok, Pitt clearly by his choices knows when a movie is good to bad in differend aspects. He produces quite a lot in a sense that he is inside the artistic vision of things with a lot of projects.

Depending on who you talk to he was either 24 or 26 and she was just 14 or 16, which I believe is statutory rape either way. Inglorious Basterds and Valkyrie are apples and oranges. One is a fictional reimagining of 'events' taking place in an alternate world and the other is a faithful recreation of actual events. Trying to compare the two is a stretch.
