I did it yesterday, starting and finishing at Ben Lettery hostel. It was strenuous enough. I'm not certain of the distance but I reckon about 16km with 1600m ascent. There's lots of info in Google, the website is very helpful: www.tomfahy.com/2012/08/the-glencoaghan-horseshoe.html
