It was crazy being there. I love the look on your face towards the end of the video as you were watching with your mouth just hanging open as if your eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing and your ears coulodn't believe what they were hearing
Just fyi, that solo has now been voted the #1 guitar solo in rock history! I was fortunate enough to see David do it twice to perfection! There is no band better than these guys were. I've seen them many times, along with many of the greats in classic rock, PF still the best, 50+ years and counting!
It was never voter number 1, sorry.... But, it's because, the stupid persons who are voting are stupid journalists, writing in some magazines, like Rolling Stones, which is a shit paper, and who are only able to critisize, but not to play any instrument! For them Hotel California, is a better solo🤣🤮.....What a joke.....And, Sorry, but HENDRIX AND PAGE, played much more incredible solos! But, you can't realize it, if you're not a guitarist! It's a question of taste, finally.....
I have been a Floyd fan since the 70s. I saw this tour in Los Angeles. I'm also one of the few people in the exclusive club that saw him play it live on The Wall tour - February 10th, 1980 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. There are less than 400,000 people in the club. Sounds like a lot, but for a 80s world tour, that was nothing. Bands would easily break two million total attendance on a world tour. There were only like 30 shows across four cities for The Wall - LA, New York, London, and Dortmund, Germany. I also saw him play it live at the Venice, Italy concert. I was stationed in Vicenza, about 30 minutes south when I was in the army. That show was wild. It was a free concert. They had to close access to Venice because too many people showed up. People were everywhere. Fights were breaking out over getting a spot along the Grand Canal.
Pink Floyd is in a genre all by itself. Their albums were concept albums best played from beginning to end in one setting.. No worries about playing a bad song....they don't have any. Thanks for letting it play thru. Really enjoyed your reaction. I've been listening to PK since '73 with the release of 'Dark Side of the Moon' album and have been an ardent fan ever since. Seen them in '94 and man they somehow made it to where the music seemed to go through my body, it was by far the best concert I have ever been to. Love seeing the next generation get a taste of REAL music. Peace.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend and I at the time loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I can not describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.
I'm 66 yrs old and I've been a fan of the Floyd since 71. I still get chills listening to them. Even though I've heard these song thousands of times. I saw many concerts in my life but nothing compares to Pink Floyd. Live they play to my soul.
Same here , I bought my first record of Pink Floyd in 1977 ( Dark Side of the Moon ) and was instantly hooked on Dave Gilmours guitar playing , especially on their Album “ Wish you were here “ and also the Wall ( where this number “ comfortably Numb “ is from ) !!
@@kristinaveirum True..... but musically they hire the best backup musicians and singers to assist them in giving a perfect live performance, usually identical or even better than the recorded version. The band members basically stand their putting all their energy and talent into the music ..... not into gay dance moves or look at me moves . Except for the crazy French drummer / timpani and sometimes Guy Pratt gets a bit mobile while playing the bass. lol Oh..... and the 3 backup singers. It is their job to look good and move to the music..... but the Pink Floyd band members just play and sing, nothing else.
@@kristinaveirum Real musicians have no problem with timing, it is amateurs like me that struggle in that area. The arrangements and organisation are all done during rehearsals..... by performance time, everything is set to go. If performing is too difficult, then either the band is not good enough or individuals are holding them back. Pink Floyd are arguably the BEST pop band ever..... no one has ever been better live. They make it look easy because they are the real deal...... and they care enough to spend the money to make the performance more than just music.
Absolutely one of the best killer solos in rock guitar history. David Gilmour is a God! And you did it right my man. You listened without interruption...
Pink Floyd is Unique! Their music unite people from all styles: rockers, headbangers, pop, hip hop, rap, no matter your style. Once you listen to this music and it's solo, they get you.
It is said to be the #1 guitar solo in the history of rock. It’s definitely my favorite! Pink Floyd is the GOAT because their music is timeless and it can take you places ❤
I wasn't at this specific concert, but I did see them on this tour in Nashville, and it remains to this day (and over 150 concerts later) the single greatest thing I've ever witnessed in my life. And yes, this song (the greatest song ever written and recorded) was just as face meltingly spectacular in Nashville as it was in this video.
I've seen well over 300 shows, Floyd 4 times. This is the best show I've ever seen. It BLEW EVERYBODY'S MIND. As we walked out the entire crowd was stunned
i figured this would be their final major tour, so i saw them three times on this tour: once in the rose bowl (pasadena, ca), again in jack murphy stadium (san diego, ca), and also in sun devil stadium (tempe, az). i have also seen them on the momentary lapse of reason tour, and the animals tour, which is the only tour where pink floyd played any songs from the animals album (and they also played the entire wish you were here album). i can honestly say the pulse tour was the most incredible experience of music and visual art i have ever experienced. the audio quality was incredible and as far as i am concerned, the lights and other visual effects were the most impressive thing i've ever seen. as mike said - face meltingly spectacular.
I've been fortunate to see Pink Floyd twice in concert, and both shows were a feast for the ears and the eyes. Guitars want David Gilmour for Christmas.
Your face says it all. What an amazing reaction. Great job! I look forward to your other Pink Floyd reactions. Prepare to have your mind blown! Great job, mate.
Loved the way your face lit up when Dave kicked in with the second solo and then looked totally gobsmacked by the end of it. A real delight to see a young guy like yourself getting into these classic rock tracks. Pink Floyd have this effect on everyone who sees and hears their brilliant performances. Keep up with the reactions JM you have one of the best channels out there right now.
I was there and yeah it was really something. There was a sign on the way in that said 'This concert is being filmed'. With the Floyd you get awesome music and equally awesome visuals.
I had the chance to see this show two nights in a row during their visit to the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on May 23 and 24, 1994. Since I worked night shifts, I had to go to work after the show, and the buddies at work looked at me like if I was high on drugs, yet I hadn't taken anything. With Pink Floyd, no need for drugs to get high, their music is more than enough and in addition, there is no danger of overdose. But seeing them performing can become addictive, hence the reason for seeing this show twice.
I saw Pink Floyd the night after this was filmed at Earl's Court in London in October 1994. They were even more impressive in person. The visuals were stunning let alone the music. By far the best indoor concert I've ever witnessed.
Now you've seen real music played by real musicians for real. I thank my lucky stars for being alive during this time. David always let's his guitar sing, The bassist Guy Pratt has worked with the biggest names in the industry both playing and production. He is an excellent but underrated musician in his own right.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your facial expressions here. I must have looked the same way all those years ago when I first heard this amazing performance,
I saw them twice in the late 1980s at two different outdoor stadium venues. Pink Floyd was a band that made their concerts an experience for all the senses. In terms of the sound, the stage took up the entire end zone at one end of the stadium, and then there were banks of loudspeakers as large as most touring bands use for their entire show at midfield on either side of the stadium and then another bank of speakers at the far end of the stadium from the stage. During certain parts of the show, the sound from the band would literally circle around you as they threw it from one set of speakers to another, and sometimes they would play different instruments or different effects from the speakers in other parts of the stadium. For your eyes, in addition to the laser and lighting effects that you saw in this song, they would use huge practical effects (an inflatable pig the size of a small blimp was one) that would float out over the crowd, and pyrotechnics onstage during certain parts of the show. Your sense of touch was engaged because the sound was so loud you would feel the bass and the drums in your body when they played. And in terms of smell--well, the crowd took care of that because there were always plenty of 420 smoke billowing from people smoking during the show. I'm positive that if there was some legal way for Pink Floyd to introduce some sort of flavored mist into the air of the concert venues, they would have done that, too. You never just went to a Pink Floyd show, you felt like you were fully immersed in a Pink Floyd show. Absolutely one of the top live bands I have ever seen, and I went to many, many concerts from my teens all the way through my 20s and into my 30s.
It never gets old seeing people who had no idea sitting there speechless while they are witnessing for their first time David Gilmour doing what only David Gilmour can. If you want to explore further I recommend his Royal Albert Hall Gig 2006. This particular song he performs with David Bowie and he delivers some remarkable guitar playing even for his own standards throughout the whole gig. I suggest „Time“ and „Echoes“ out of that performance as your next David Gilmour experience.
Happy Face, cool! Being there with, the drums, bass, keys, voices and certainly the heart, lead guitar, your body feels all of it coursing thru your veins, your chest physically pounding, and your eyes, if you can keep them open and free of tears, experiencing colors, of genuine ecstasy! Thanks for sharing and keeping the joy of reliving it again, alive and well.
Saw Pink Floyd in LA in the early seventies on a visit to see a buddy whose roommate was a huge PF fan and invited me to go. Never heard of them, was blown away, first band I saw use lasers and Co2 smoke machines. Epic show, became an instant fan.
I had already been to at least 6 PF concerts, however, I cried like a baby at the end of the last one, which was indeed at this very concert. Not exclusively for the obvious reason but I instinctively knew that this would be the very last time I ever saw PF live, which indeed it was. I knew then that nothing absolutely nothing will ever do what that event did to my being again. It was not the last PF concert that I ever attended it was the last rock concert I ever attended after being at several hundreds of them over the preceding 22 years. I occasionally listen to some of the old stuff, and it sounds in many ways even better than it did then. However, something in me died when David Gilmour hit that last cord, and I am not at all sure what it was.
Watch the whole concert. You will have a new favorite band two songs in!!! I got to see them live twice. Most amazing, almost religious experience of my life!!! 50 years and still going strong!!!!
Except this version of his solo was cut by about 1.5 minutes because Gilmour hit a few bum notes that he didn't want on all the official releases. So he is fallible, and not an alien after all.
I've listened to uncut version many times, both on CD (Out Of This World on KTS records) and on video (the original broadcast). I wouldn't say bum notes by any means as not one was misplaced or missed. It's more likely he just wasn't happy with the runtime.
that was a hellishly, heavenly, guitar solo by david!!! please, sir, can we have some more gilmour? it comfortably numbers as one of the greatest solos of all time!!!
@@ianfortier6796 Well, there are certainly bum notes in the original PPV (though they don't take up the entire c.1.5 minutes). This has already been confirmed in Floyd forums, by those in the know, and that it was Gilmour's decision to edit the section out. You can hear them, for example, around 8:03 on the " Comfortably Numb (uncut version) - Pink Floyd - PULSE - 4K Remastered" video on YT. And no, it wasn't the runtime either. If it had been, Gilmour could have restored the original solo in the DVD or Blu-ray release where an extra 1.5 minutes on the discs is not an issue (unlike, perhaps, where it might've been on the VHS tape release).
BTW.... You do want to see this entire concert. It is amazing. I've seen over 300 rock concerts...everybody worth seeing since 1966. This the greatest show I've seen.
Pink Floyd was formed in London in 1965. The band name was chosen in recognition of 2 Black American southern blues musicians: PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council.
Saw that show in Basel/switzerland 6th of august '94. I never forget that date. Im still in shock today. By far the best gig i was EVER. I saw a lot of gigs by many great bands, but this was the peak of the mountain. I am a lucky guy that i had a chance to see them live. Unforgettable.
As an "older" Pink Floyd fan I'd say take a look at the guys "back in the day" playing live in an ancient Roman Amphitheatre with No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics and a Dave Gilmour with No Shirt! Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part 1) live at Pompeii 1972
"Live at Pompeii" 1972 is incredible. 🚀🚀 I keep the DVD of the performance as a relic. 😍 P.S. "Echoes" is my favorite Pink Floyd song. And the live version performed in Gdansk shortly before Richard Wright's death is one of the most moving and poignant.
on many lists this performance is voted #1 solo of all times. for me it definitely is. there is another wonderful version of this song on youtube: david gilmour live in pompeii 2016 ... 22 years after the one above (he´s 70 in that take).
I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show Syracuse Carrier Dome in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all. When the “Disco Ball’ was uncovered and the lights hit it….. WHAT IS HAPPENING was what I said….The entire crowd was held in a trace and our minds totally blown by what we witnessed.
I was at that show, too. The most amazing thing about that concert was the respect that the fans showed to each other and the band. None of this jumping on chairs and whooping during each song. They listened, immersed in the music, entranced by the emotion and let go in between songs. What a night that was!
Hey man, I’m so happy noi found your reactions…the respect…the absolute lack of interruption showing so much respect for the artists….really cool..you’re solid
I’ve read the amount of electricity used was enough to power a small town. What you can do when money is no object. Some of the best concerts ever performed.
Indeed. They had massive generators that were part of the enormous traveling setup. So large in fact, that they had more than one setup as it took days to install/remove and it was impossible to logistically do with one. Additionally, the laser show was unprecedented. When I saw the Pulse tour in Denver, air traffic was diverted away from Mile High Stadium for the first (and only) time due to the intensity of the laser show. Simply mind blowing.
Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. Hard to explain how awesome that moment was in my life. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS
I just subscribed when i saw you listening to this for the 1st time... I love watching the reactions... I saw this tour back in '94 at Giants Stadium & Veterans Stadium, just an amazing unforgettable show
Crazy story.. Birmingham show.. me and 11 friends from 1st yr college went to show. We were right under that ball. I was soo fkd up that I thought it was a giant octopus coming down to eat me 😄😄 sooo. What did i do. I followed them for next 3 shows and when i went bk to my college 5 states over, by then 🙄, i had flunked out. Completely worth it. STILL made it to another college and still onto med school. 47 now.. wouldn't have changed a thing!!!!!
In person, the lights were ten times as impressive. Nothing I've seen online does them justice. One of the last big concerts before they were all ruined by thousands of camera phone lights.
The giant disco ball especially. It was immensely impressive in person. A truly surreal effect. It just looks like muddy light in the video(s). In a few shots you can really make out the mottled pattern moving across the walls, but it was mesmerizing in person. And the lasers. And the inflatables. Aaaand the giant WWII fighter that raced from one side of the stadium to explode on the opposite... My God what a show. It's seared in my memory like a car crash.
Yeah, unbelievable! I saw them in the mid 80’s. They flew a huge inflatable pig with red laser eyes out over the audience. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen 😊
The guitar solo is well known as one of the best of all time. I saw Pink Floyd 11 times on the Pulse tour and each night the solo was different. The structure was basically similar but there were nuances that made each night different. I wouldn't trade those 11 nights for anything.
One of, if not the best encores ever. I am a retired Surgical Tech and David works over his guitar like a surgeon over a patient. He's precise and sharp. Great video reaction!
You can remove the question mark from the title. This is definitely the greatest guitar solo ever. 🏆 But after all we are talking about Pink Floyd, nothing less than perfection should be expected. Musicians with a capital M, theirs is to be considered classical music in all respects. They are and always will be my favorite band. 💖 P.S. The whole "Pulse" is an epic concert.
Kudos on not interrupting the solo! Few things are more painful than being ripped out of the middle of a Gilmour guitar solo. Yes, David's guitar sings for him - and cries and moans and wails. He's perhaps the most emotive of guitar players, and his solos are transcendent. Pink Floyd will take you to strange and beautiful places!
A great band that will give a grand life of pure music genius for all to enjoy for eternity. Your appreciation for it and letting it play out is commended. Your should do Money
MERCI ! MERCI ! MERCI ! 🙏🙏🙏 (in French ) Thank you, for not stopping the song and the guitar solo... A lot of idiots stop the guitar solo, I can't stand it. So thank you, you listen to the songs with a lot of respect without stopping them (I'm an amateur musician) Thank you, you know I'm an old man who was "fed" with this rock music from the 70s and I'm so happy to see young people like you to listen to and appreciate this music, it's very touching, I'm really moved for that. Among my close friends there are 3 kids (3 brothers) 13, 15 and 16 years old who listen, like and play this rock music from the 70s (at music school) 2 guitarists and a drummer. Of course, I and their grandparents (we say "grandparents" ??? that's French haha...) pass on our "knowledge" to them in order to enrich their musical culture. It's reassuring to see that we had good taste at the time hahaha!!! Man, It's a pleasure to subscribe to your channel.
I've seen Pink Floyd 4 times in my life and that guitar solo was one of David Gilmore's best. He is the king of emotional guitar riffs. There's so many great solos out there, but few take you on the emotional rollercoaster like this. Your appreciation is awesome to see, it's a long journey and there's lots where this came from.
The first time I heard Pink Floyd it was in 1973. It was my first year of high school and in my history class, my teacher enter in the class with what we called a pick-up it was a kind of turn table with speakers on it. He said, close your book because today we will hear something very special. It was what you called the triangle who is a pyramid with a prism. The album is The Dark Side Of The Moon. It's the first album Pink Floyd was able to release in North America and they were ahead of their time with lasers and special effects. Seeing a Pink Floyd show was more than a show it was an event, a journey. When you listen a song it doesn't work that way, you have to listen the entire album because they tell you a story. The Dark Side Of The Moon is about life and death. In the movie Dune they used the last song of this album. 2023 is the 50th birthday of this album.
Congrats! It IS the greatest guitar solos ever. YOu got it right. Most average people put this performance on their top 10 guitar solos, unless they live under a rock. David Gilmour is one of the best guitarist ever, up there with Jimi, May, Page, Santana, Eddie Van Halen, Angus Young (and his brother!) among others.
David Gilmour is the master of feel. he can make a guitar talk, cry and sing all at the same time. i have been a Floydy for over 50 years now. i flew from Australia in 94 to see the Pulse concert. a life changing experience, i taught myself to play guitar after hearing wish you were here. it's good too see young people getting into Pink Floyd. don't stop your journey has just started😁😁😁 YES IT IS THE GREATEST GUITAR SOLO EVER
And THAT wasn't even the last encore! RUN LIKE HELL was. Best F--king concert I ever saw (I was at the Oakland Coliseum show) and heard. Their concert equipment sounded better than any high-end home stereo system. And multi-channel too, with speaker stacks high up in the back of the upper deck seats on the left, right and far back of the stadium. Mind blowing show! I went to many concerts in the 1970s, 80s and 90s, and this left them all behind in visuals and sound. I never saw or heard anything as awesome since either. Watch the whole thing on video when you get a chance.
Great reaction. You have a lot of great future Pink Floyd Songs to hear. David Gilmour is a guitar master! Sorrow, Coming back to life, High Hopes, the list goes on 🙂!
React to everything you can from the Pulse concert but my favorites are “Sorrow” “High Hopes” and “Great Gig in the Sky” Enjoy your trip down this rabbit hole you won’t regret the time spent and…yes one of the greatest solos ever 🔥
Yeah. That concert tour was AfckingMAZING. I loved seeing your long silence when it ended. Your facial expressions spoke more than 1,000 words. Touched you deep didn't it? Thát's why it's widely seen as the greatest guitar solo ever, cuz when it comes to setting in motion all kinds of emotions nothing else even comes close, though second best is pretty damned amazing as well. I think I'm gonna have to check out what else you've reacted to. With a little luck you have already found the second band in that other universe from the rest of us with Floyd - when it comes to musical genious applied to the rock genre - and that is of course the band Tool.
Saw this in Yankee Stadium. The stage was at Home plate and the ball started rising up from center field. When it opened Brilliant sparkling lights filled the entire stadium although I had a contact high I felt like I was Trippin
The guitar alone is full of so much emotion, it gets me every time. For me it’s the greatest
It was crazy being there. I love the look on your face towards the end of the video as you were watching with your mouth just hanging open as if your eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing and your ears coulodn't believe what they were hearing
Pink Floyd and Dire Straits 😍
love your face and reaction to the guitar
That performance is nothing short of a religious experience. Pink Floyd and the guitar of David Gilmour is something special.

Saw this 94 Earl's court London. Best evening of my life 💓 😊❤YNWA
Your mind was blown……LOL! That reaction at the end was fantastic! Lol……😂😂😂😂😂!
This is how a reaction video should be done. AAA+++ for not pausing and giving opions during the vid/song. You da man.
I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this recording. Every time I hear it I close my eyes and let it move through me.
Me too.

No bad songs, yes... but maybe we should add a warning sign on Ummagumma... for now... 😂
In my 71 years I’ve seen 100’s of concerts, many of them iconic. And I’d trade all of them to have gotten to see this one.
Pink Floyd is on another level man, they are Legendary, an Experience!
One doesn't merely listen to Pink Floyd. One experiences Pink Floyd. Welcome aboard.
For me, this is the best guitar solo ever by anyone, and it was performed by my favorite band ever.
Everytime I watch this performance i don't want that solo to end 😢❤
PULSE 1994 , amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing flashy,, nothing fancy..just pure emotion and talent..
They’re also flashy and fancy with that stage performance and lights/lasers and effects.

@@Rassskle I agree with you but you still makes it sound easier. And Pink Floyd isn’t a pop band but I’m guessing it’s a typo?
Absolutely one of the best killer solos in rock guitar history.
David Gilmour is a God!
And you did it right my man. You listened without interruption...
Pink Floyd is Unique! Their music unite people from all styles: rockers, headbangers, pop, hip hop, rap, no matter your style. Once you listen to this music and it's solo, they get you.
They say that the crowd leaving the arena after that concert were *TOTALLY SILENT* . . . Just STUNNED by what they had seen and heard. .
Very true mate.it was mad.i was 22 at time.pothead..ynwa 😊❤
@@AliasMark69 I know the feeling. Its a life changing experience. I remember thinking "I can die happy now" 😄
@@hmpphoto I understand that feeling!
Same brother, saw them in Atlanta in 94. Nothing comes close.
i figured this would be their final major tour, so i saw them three times on this tour: once in the rose bowl (pasadena, ca), again in jack murphy stadium (san diego, ca), and also in sun devil stadium (tempe, az). i have also seen them on the momentary lapse of reason tour, and the animals tour, which is the only tour where pink floyd played any songs from the animals album (and they also played the entire wish you were here album). i can honestly say the pulse tour was the most incredible experience of music and visual art i have ever experienced. the audio quality was incredible and as far as i am concerned, the lights and other visual effects were the most impressive thing i've ever seen. as mike said - face meltingly spectacular.
I get so much joy from watching people experience The Floyd for the first time 😅
Great reaction bro 🤘
I was lucky enough to be at this concert at Earls Court. What a night, Mind blowing.
I was there that night. Surrounded by strangers all crying. The most amazing gig I've ever seen
I've been fortunate to see Pink Floyd twice in concert, and both shows were a feast for the ears and the eyes. Guitars want David Gilmour for Christmas.
Listening to Pink Floyd since 1973 when I was in the Dutch army and still a big fan.
Thank you for not interrupting the video! IMHO these 2 guitar solos are the GOAT! Nothing fancy just pure skill.
The best guitar solo in my ears. Greetings from Norway.
Respect for respect. You got it bro. David’s guitar is his true voice. A singular talent.
I was there!
The best gig I have ever to be witness to! Exceptional with no exception. Makes me shiver every time I here any all or part of this show!
Yes that is the predominant feeling by all people. Best all time. Mr Gilmour is a Wizard and a GENIUS
Just an unbeatalable solo. How I wish I had been at that concert! Guitar perfection.
Now you've seen real music played by real musicians for real.
I thank my lucky stars for being alive during this time.
David always let's his guitar sing,
The bassist Guy Pratt has worked with the biggest names in the industry both playing and production.
It's great to see youg people appreciate the old music I grew up with! Great reaction
Everything floyd is GOLD
Best solo ever ! Not just technically but also emotionally, best, best, best ✌🏿✌🏼
Goosebumps every time! ♥️🤘
Pink Floyd is not just a concert, it's an experience. visually, aurally, physically.
Bravo my friend, welcome to pink Floyd
You also need to see On the Turning Away from them. And yes, one of the greatest guitar solos ever.
YES.... This is the greatest guitar solo ever. I've seen David do it live four times, each time perfectly done from the Master Of The Stratocaster.
@@ianfortier6796 I've seen Gilmour do the song 4 times from the 70's-- 80's-- 90's.... Perfect each time.
I keep the DVD of the performance as a relic. 😍
P.S.
@@andrewspam NO CELL PHONES. Best behaved crowd I've ever been in.with nearly 60,000 grateful fans.
Interesting!
❤️🔥
I just subscribed when i saw you listening to this for the 1st time... I love watching the reactions... I saw this tour back in '94 at Giants Stadium & Veterans Stadium, just an amazing unforgettable show
Welcome to REAL music and REAL musicians !!! Welcome to PINK FLOYD !!
I was at that concert in Earle's Court. It will never be erased from my memory
Goosebumps and tears for me so awesome
The bass would rattle my bones inside my body...it was that good
The guitar solo is well known as one of the best of all time. I saw Pink Floyd 11 times on the Pulse tour and each night the solo was different. The structure was basically similar but there were nuances that made each night different. I wouldn't trade those 11 nights for anything.
From the same Pulse Concert, check out SORROW and also RUN LIKE HELL (for Run Like Hell, be sure to fasten your seat belt!!).
Fantastic reaction! Try High Hopes from the same concert. It's one of Pink Floyd's best songs and the experience is incredible.
One of, if not the best encores ever. I am a retired Surgical Tech and David works over his guitar like a surgeon over a patient. He's precise and sharp. Great video reaction!
You can remove the question mark from the title. This is definitely the greatest guitar solo ever. 🏆
But after all we are talking about Pink Floyd, nothing less than perfection should be expected.
Musicians with a capital M, theirs is to be considered classical music in all respects.
They are and always will be my favorite band. 💖
P.S.
Man, It's a pleasure to subscribe to your channel.
great reaction, The Wall released in '79 last greatest album from the 70's
Oh yeah it’s legendary, the guitar was crying!!
For me, yes, it is the greatest guitar solo ever. I still get chills.
You gotta realise..that final solo was written to signify someone having a complete mental meltdown and screaming in anguish. Watch the movie.
Some people in the business say it is the best solo ever. Thanks for what you do brother.
Respect man for not talking through it :)
The ball unfolding at end was magical.and plane crashed. I was left of stage balcony. I could almost touch the pig.. 😊❤YNWA
Your reaction gives me hope for the future.
Great reaction. You have a lot of great future Pink Floyd Songs to hear. David Gilmour is a guitar master! Sorrow, Coming back to life, High Hopes, the list goes on 🙂!
Thanks for these suggestions!
i was at that concert I am suprised my face didn't melt off during that song.... the crowd went nuts!
React to everything you can from the Pulse concert but my favorites are “Sorrow” “High Hopes” and “Great Gig in the Sky” Enjoy your trip down this rabbit hole you won’t regret the time spent and…yes one of the greatest solos ever 🔥
Will do!
I see them 8 or9 time live of here in uk there are brittle live and still listen to them today at the age of 64
Saw this in Yankee Stadium. The stage was at Home plate and the ball started rising up from center field. When it opened Brilliant sparkling lights filled the entire stadium although I had a contact high I felt like I was Trippin
