    I fly a RC Electric helicopter. People ask me, you fly RC Helicopters, jets, and acrobatic planes would you like to fly real full size stuff? I say no. I prefer walking up to my crashes rather trying to climbing out of them!! LOL!!! Although a few years ago my oldest daughter bought me a great flight experience. I got to fly a real Extra 330 for about an hour. It was a blast. They let me do loops, rolls, and some other crazy dives. Pulled about 7 G’s max. What a great experience!! Thanks again Vanessa!

    Nice video. I was a Maintenance Test Pilot (Helicopter) and Aviation Safety Officer in the Army for 32 years. Home built helicopters make me a bit leery. Helicopters are very complex mechanically. There’s so much shit that can go wrong with the complexity of a helicopter. I just don’t think I could trust flying around in a toy knowing what I know about Helicopters.

      @MissMarinaCapri 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peter MacDonald , More than two hours flying time! Effectively that means for safety reasons you should only fly one and a half hours that’s 90 minutes people. How many times do I have to say it! More flying time!

      @@MissMarinaCapri I hear your call but reallity is most helicopter flights are short hop or scenics so not a lot of call for long haul thats what fixed wing do best. Beefing up the fuselage to accomodate more fuel compromises in two ways firstly added weight for structure and fuel which secondly reduces payload. This particlar experimental model is weight restricted so there is only so much you can do to stay inside the MTOW

He would often fly his Talon to work; in a landscape supply yard. He would often zero balance his aircraft. Engine and rotor system. He died in a crash after extensive maintenance on another pilots helicopter. You need very understanding neighbors with an airport next door.

    Is there ANY space behind the seats for a couple of small bags?

      There is room next to the pilot if you leave the old bag at home....

    The collector controls the pitch on the main blades. The foot pedals control the pitch on the tail rotor blades which counteracts the torque of the main blades.

    Don't own a 5 million dollar home, but Had an asparagus farm in Contra costa Ca. in the 60's. Loved my Benson gyro copter , when I was 17, cheap,simple, never failed me.All too complicated now. Too much electronics.

    Distance 120 miles maximum,it’s mean 60miles radius, 17 gallons full tank. Where can you fly “so far “??? Or when you fly you supposed to keep your eyes on your dryway ?))

    they need to make this slightly larger, keep the tail for aesthetics/maneuvering but change the rotor config to counter rotating blades for extra lift and stability, keep the same 2 seater config but with more leg and head room from us 6 foot 4 guys with long legs, and add a 800lbs bulky cargo compartment behind the seats so you can use this to run to town and get your groceries in remote areas.
    the OG kit use to be like 14k and in 2010 it was about 25-30k if i recall.
    so charge like 60k for this new kit.
    make this thing more practical like a weekly driver car/grocery getter for people in remote areas. id buy the shit out of this. the 200 mile range is nearly perfect too so keep that with the new scale.

    Couple hours at 80-90 mph doesn't seem much but that would meet the needs of some executives here in Southern California wanting to take their near 4 hr round trip daily commute in horrible LA traffic between the office and home to the sky over the traffic instead. By the way check out FLOAT (Fly Over All Traffic) couple of guys just started in SoCal doing just that in small commuter planes, for a monthly subscription of $1300 you get two flights per day five days wk per month.

    There are much smaller 4 cyl engines making more than 300 hp , must be a super conservative tune for that turbo

    Can a copter fly if the rotor blades are fitted the opposite way, that is the thin edge to chop the air first...? This blog is very very elucidating...

    What's the usable weight with full fuel? For a two seater turbo.
