Fire away with your questions/comments! It's a relatively temporary set-up; MUCH better to live in it for a while in order to determine what is important and what is not BEFORE investing in the future build.
Hi Lori! Thanks for watching. Well, fancy it sure AIN'T, but it does the job for now. It desperately needs to be slim-lined though - can't do that without taking out my hammer and saw!
Love how you power your bluetti, I have a split charger for my leisure battery and have to charge the bluetti from the cigarette port so sadly I struggle after a few days as I don’t have solar either. Something for me to look into more… thanks for sharing 😊
Hi Maggie! The Bluetti Charger One is a great choice as it'll charge pretty much any brand of power station. You never know when you may swap for say, an Ecofow or Oupes. Ecoflow also has a DC-DC charger, but it only works with that brand. I also looked at the Pecron 500w car charger, (a more budget option) but they were out of stock for ages!
Hello, for longer term, best practice with the fuel tank inside your living space would be to draw off the top with a stand pipe. That way the fitting can't vibrate loose and eventually leak (potentially). Stand pipes are on amazon for cheap, the last one I ordered is currently delayed but on the way (Canada Post maybe?). I think I have three of those tanks just sitting around, if you'd like one for a second build. I'm in Ardrossan but work south east and head to the west end a few times a month. Which DC-DC charger did you go with?
Absolutely spot-on, and thanks for your comment!! I've been looking into a standpipe. I think I'll add one to a 20l marine tank when I upgrade my entire set-up. If you're from Ardrossan, you know how bloody cold it gets here - more capacity is better! You are SO kind to offer a tank! I think I'm OK for now. I went with the Bluetti Charger1 after cancelling my Pecron 500W order (waited forever with no updates on stock). It was a bit pricey, but I got a member's discount + handy cabling. Very pleased!!

It's nice to see people keeping it simple...doesn't need to be fancy to get started. Safe is good though.
