We use the medium clear plastic flower cone bags and just trim off the brown or wilted leaves and leave the roots on and drop everything in the cones with a little water and rubber band the top lightly and pack them upright and sell them as "Ultra fresh living vegetables and upcharge 75 cents extra.

You should use a 4-wheel cart and move it to the trough you are harvesting. Instead of carrying the troughs up and down the greenhouse, it will save you a lot of steps.

I am assuming then that you pack 62 boxes every week when you are sending stuff out. How much staffing do you have to get that done? Can you get all of that done in a day? Hi, We harvest way before anything goes to seed. Purchasing the seed simplifies everything. I wouldn't even consider the extra work forcthis type of growing. Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers etc.. are an exception for harvesting seeds, but not greens. I hope this helps

If I'm understanding the question correctly, you can reconfigure the dimensions of the table and troughs to anything you want.

The seed is very inexpensive. Bolting your lettuce or herbs for seed would just be unnecessary. Concentrate on beautifu,l edible greens.

This is just how the manufacturer classifies them. No it won't hold 5 lbs of greens.

The root system on the bagged produce is wet, so no.
