One more tip for solo riding - Create a label with your name, emergency contact number(s) and your blood group and stick it on the top tube of your cycle or on the handlebar where it will be visible (covered with plastic/cello tape to avoid getting wet). This is for any unforeseen emergency (I really wish no one has to use it anytime) wherein others on road can get in touch with your family members if required.

Good points. Only thing is while planning do consider the elevation of the area too as that would help you chose the better cycle. I had been a solo rider from last 6 years and have no problem with motivation :) I feel if you have a good route to cycle which is mostly full of greenary and good elevation, that itself will keep you motivated. I cycle in mostly forest areas and the scenic beauty they host has got me addicted to cycling every day.

I am also a solo rider. Keep good music also . I keep a small Bluetooth speaker and connected it with phone then listen music with it. Avoid earphone.
Thanks brother, I prefer solo rides. One fear that is holding me back from long solo rides is the fear of puncture. Though I have seen YT videos on how to fix a puncture, I haven't had firsthand experience in actually fixing one (I ride a Hybrid bike with hydraulic disc brakes). May be I should do a dry run at home, what do you suggest?

Whenever you are planning a route on Google maps for solo rides, don't forget to download an offline map of it. Seriously I have come back in mid of solo rides due to losing network while using maps

I have Riverside 500 which has 9 gears in rear. Somehow not very happy with the gear system and it’s smoothness.
Can I install Shimano gear system. And if possible will be a better option

Love your videos, Vishu! I am a central government servant and have an hour window each day in the morning. I ride 5-6 days a week from 5:30 to 6:30 in the morning. I cycle for 22 Kilometers on weekdays and on Saturday I go for a 2 and half hour long ride of around 50 kilometers in the morning from 5:30 to 8. Sunday is a rest day. I am using Btwin's Riverside 500 hybrid bike which I bought on 1st November 23 and will upgrade to a road bike most probably Van Rysel. My average speed has increased from 15 to 21 in 3 months and I think I will achieve 25 km/hr within 2-3 months. My cycling aim is to improve my fitness by doing some good cardiovascular exercise and bike touring on Holidays! If you have any suggestions for me, it is highly appreciated. Thanks!😊
Thank you so much for sharing your detailed information, Its amazing to see people like you who are cycling for health and fitness. Currently I can recommend you to do 5-10 minutes of stretch post every ride and just keep the saddle height at good level to reduce any un-necessary pressure on your knee, rest all are good.
