- This is a remake version based on the story and film "Johnny Lingo" (1969) by Patricia McGerr. A Fifth Wave adaptation of Johnny Lingo. On a tropical island, an orphan boy named Tama is "cursed" by his tribe and finds comfort in fellow outcast: Mahana, a fiesty girl shunned for her ragged appearance. When Tama sails off in search of a new life, he promises a tearful Mahana to return for her someday. Tama's journey leads him to Johnny Lingo, a wealthy trader who makes Tama his apprentice and heir. One, it teaches about love, society neglect and rejection, it teaches me about man's patience, courage and beliefs, it teaches me about trust and hope.

It’s a nice film, no evil! No sexual stuff, no bad language and it promotes morals, friendship and supporting orphans which in my religion is one of the best deeds a person can perform! Your kids won’t be corrupted by it and may even be inspired to be better behaved… a beautiful story of kindness and friendship, love within marriage and respect of elders❤❤
