I always watch your amazing videos during lunchtime, they make me even hungrier and helps me to savor my meal. I truly appreciate all the effort you take to clean and cook your meals along with setting up the fire and making sure the lightning is right. You're an inspiration, man!
As a hunter, I love this video and buttering the meat like it is bread is genius! Also, your video also reminds me that English is a Germanic language, so many similarities!
Everyone should do this at some point in their lives... not necessarily this crazy but spend a few days out in the woods and cook some meals. When I was a kid we would make those instant oatmeals (my favorite being the brown sugar). I'll never forget those times.
First of all, I felt that the scenery here is so poetic and poetic, with the sound body of water and majestic nature and enjoying delicious food is really wonderful.
tasty as always. I figured out a neat trick today. There's a specific type of Indian parboiled rice called "poha". it's flat. Unlike regular rice it's already partially cooked, then crushed & dried. So you don't really need to cook it much. Which means you can just chuck it into soup or a frying pan or whatever else you're making without having to cook it first. It's also a nice trick if you've made your dish too salty, just throw a handful into the pot before you serve it.
that meat looked so good being pulled off the bone, i didn't imagine a big wad of butter being slathered on it... but then i considered that venison is probably quite lean so it would really be a nice compliment. would melting the butter and dipping be just as good?

I always get the "silver skin" off and bone out the deer ham(American version of haunch). Other than that, the onions, carrots and spices are similar. But I do like to add sweet potato into the mix. That's because I was raised in the south. Sweet potato is a given here.

Now sometimes with rabbit or deer after the buttermilk put it in a slow cooker with some carrots and potatoes and onions and let it slow cook all day melt in your mouth and it will fall apart.
@@MrTNBassmaster Oh okay Great, thanks! I hear Rabbits very lean meat that has almost no fat on it at all should I use another animal fat of some kind to keep the meat from drying out? Like if I wrapped the rabbit meat in bacon or something? Not for the bacon flavor really but just to utilize the fat from it while its wrapped around the rabbit meat while cooking???
Do cloves, juniper berries, peppercorns, gobes sea salt and bay leaves from conventional manufacturers also go or does it have to be Ankerkraut? And what about the sauce. Do you pour it on the trees?
Was that what was in the ankerkraut jars? I picked it salt peppercorn cloves, bay, I thought I saw a star anise piece with the cloves which would make sense. I wasn't sure on juniper berries. I gotta try this cause this spice blend sounds amazing
