Have you considered a survivability build? Passive resistance near deposit and passive resistance when max rof on autocannon, with a really slow max rof and faster max rof achievement. Pairs well with ammo heavy builds. Single target savage still isn't bad, and you take very little damage if you get swarmed. 22222 tritech coil and you can low-charge triple shot in 120 degree increments all around you in under a quarter of a second to instantly fear every bug in a massive circle around you to get out of jail free while also not using much ammo at all. Pair that with born ready and you have zero downtime or vulnerability. 22222 tritech also makes any mactera plague or other type of infestation a non issue as you can continuously apply fear for as long as you like. I timed the autocannon on my build and it can keep shooting for 50 seconds, meaning you have more than plenty of time to kill, born ready, or anything before switching to your coil. Additionally if you have teammates, bugs around you will still fear but in a smaller radius, if you decide to shoot one shot each at the bugs chasing your teammates. You can take a beating and take a shit ton of pressure from your fellow dwarves with little input from you. It lets you save on using shields as well.
"Looking forward to diving into this episode of Deep Rock Galactic Builds! Focusing on maximizing a single trait sounds like a bold strategy-can't wait to see how effective it is in various hazard levels. And of course, evaluating the fun factor is key! Keep up the great work, looking forward to your insights!"
i made my own build similar to this one after watching it Improved platform stability oversized drum blowthrough rounds lighter barrel assembly cold as the grave (hot bullets and aggressive venting are a good choice also) and for overclocks i used thinned drum walls for more ammo and cooling rate
“Good” gameplay is hard to watch. It’s a lot of flicking back and forth, looking through a transparent shield, and dashing around. What you see here is my filming play style, which in my mind is easier on the eyes. If y’all want to see me tweak out let me know🤝
Personally, I’d pick Aggressive Venting tier 5 instead, but I see merit in wanting to just hold M1 as long as bloody possible. Cool vid. I never used the Burtz…
3:50 didnt expect that, thanks, despite me not uploading anymore and all my videos beeing in portuguese. Maybe I'll make some in the future aggresive venting can better since the minigun overheats so fast with this oc and you can just use a coolant to start firing again with about half heat
@@Dry-RubYou shed a lot more heat when overheating with Aggressive Venting. From my experience, using a coolant immediately after overheating reduces the heat gauge to ~50%. It took me over 1500 rounds of constant firing, overheating and cooling to run through all 12 coolant charges. The explosion of heat and fear also provides some much needed safety, something that was very much an issue in your footage. Also, if the goal is to sustain fire for long periods of time, wouldn't it be better to take +15% damage at max stability instead of faster spin-up?
@@cinex20Primary goal was fire rate, so yes and no. In hindsight I probably should have looked more seriously into aggressive venting, it seems a popular choice.
@@Dry-Rub like, thats the porpuse of the oc. To make aggresive venting a viable choice over cold as the grave or hot bullets. Cold as the grave gives you about 0.3 more seconds to fire with this oc and hot bullets can be a good choice but since you overheat so fast it's harder, and worst compared to burning hell, to take advantage of it.
Is cold as the grave really worth it with coolant charges? I only tried the overclock once, but I ran it with aggressive venting and extra fire rate. Even when I just held the button down the whole time and spammed coolant with every overheat, I found myself running out of bullets long before I ran out of coolant.
If you never stop shooting/ using coolant, you only run out of coolant slightly before bullets, so it's *almost* a clean OC in practice and there's no gameplay reason to save your coolant charges with cotg. Both of the other t5's are "more optimal". With that said I could definitely see the number of charges getting a substantial nerf, since it's almost impossible to run out of them in normal gameplay, and you should use whatever is the most fun to you
I'm surprised how little fun you rated this build, and also would this build still be effective if i would use some other overclock? Haven't got the new season yet
It’s fun, but it’s not big Bertha fun. The overclock is pretty central to maximizing firing rate, but there are plenty of other viable lead storm builds/overclocks to use. Just wanted to showcase the new one!
It’s not a mod! In the HUD settings of the game you can turn everything on (that allows it) to dynamic. This makes it so that you can see various elements through walls when you pull out your scanner. Makes for a much more cinematic experience.

Why don’t you dodge bro you keep losing at least 50% or more of your hp every time a couple bugs get close, just move away from them

I think you can still fire the weapon immediately after venting with the coolant mechanic, but that’s definitely worth a try.

It seems so, I’ll have to try a gunner-reload-venting-AoE build next👀
Aggvent means every coolant removes 62% of your heat. This makes catg completely obsolete
