Dude, I'm from Brazil and you have no idea how much your tutorials are helping me. the language is a little difficult for me but I'm managing to learn a lot just by watching your tutorials. Thank you very much.
Hi Thomas I love all your videos and appreciate all the hard work you put in and make it available for free on TH-cam. I would like to thank you for your in depth videos on topology and modeling tutorials as they have massively helped me in developing my own skills. Before your videos, I'd only download models and kit bash. After your videos I have been able to make one of my most desired models: an Airbus A380 in full detail and I can't thank you enough for the part your videos played in making that happen. For anyone who is serious about modeling with good topology, this is the place. I've recommended your channel to a couple of my friends and they too have benefited hugely from them. Thanks and keep making many more such videos. Love and respect from India Debkumar Basu
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind comment, I appreciate a lot 🙏 I'm glad they helped you !! Don't worry i'll never stop to make videos 😄 Feel free to share your work on my discord server if you want some feedback :)
Thomas should have more than 100k sub !! He`s the Topology King for sure !! I use blender everyday at work for the last 5 years and even then i learn so much from him !!
It is truly fascinating on how crazy good you are at 3D Modeling. It blows my mind. 🤯I look forward to possibly hearing more from you in Aryan's course. Well done. 👏👏👏
Thanks bro :) Well I have my own mentorship program where I teach this kind of stuff, more indepth. I'll be there with Arijan sometimes but occasionnally. I'm focusing on my own course
I can't add them because I made custom hotkeys. If I display them, you would not be able to follow what i'm doing. I usually prefer to tell the default shortcuts vocally!
Tbf, what he's doing is pretty straight forward in terms of tools and operations. Vertex sliding (press G twice) with auto merge turned on, loop cuts with ctrl+r, bridging edges, knife cuts (which has loads of keys for better control, can see these on the Blender manual tbh), grid fill, Set linear. It's just knowing how and in what order to use them.
this is a great video on topology topic but I think it would be perfect if you explained all your moves and why you did them. I have to dig a lot and yet don't know the reason behind many of your moves.
Just a bit of a query here at 15:35 regarding to you converting that face into quads. The common rule for sub-D workflow is that n-gons can be used on flat surfaces (on the x-axis and so on.) and will not affect any shading unless it doesn't have supporting edge loops. Just wanting to know if you know that, or If there is something I should be aware of.
At 16:20 when you entered sculpt mode, how did you see the topology to scuplt? When i go into sculp mode im not sure how to smooth the topology as my model is as though im in object mode and cant see topology. Thanks
Yes of course but that's not the goal of my videos! Pushing a button is not going to make people great artists who can solve complex problems by hand :)
Hey man really good tutorial but may i ask why at 7:59 my vertices dont connect the same way as yours and also i dont have the mirror editing chould be that ? sorry for the question im new to blender and im trying to learn.
the bevel at 10th minute is broken for me, the bottom row creates weird triangle. Edit for anyone that encounters the same issue. Try to realculate normals (Shift + N by default)
This is a goldmine for topology skills and high level modeling techniques. Incredible content.
Thanks dude!

Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🙏
This is a paid course worthy tutorial! Amazing details and topology! Waiting to see the rest of the parts of the complete process.
Wow thank you so much, it means a lot :)
@@ThomasColin3D You deserve it!
definitely it is but please dont cause i cant really afford it for now
but so much content hats off
I came from Aryan hes really putting your channel out there, and I can see why phenomenal stuff man.
Thanks you so much man, it means a lot 🙏

Thank you very much man :)
satisfying to watch
Thank you 🙂
parfois ça fait du bien de voir ce genre de vidéo pour les débutant et de se dire qu'on en a fait du chemin quand meme
Ça fait plaisir merci :)
King of Topology!
Thanks a lot man
Bro you're sooooo good! thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching man!
BRO PLEASE PUT THE KEYS YOU ARE USING IT WILL HELP MORE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT SHORTCUTS YOU ARE USING.

wow this is so cool man !
Thanks man!
my favourite knife very nice
It looks pretty cool yeah
Already know this is gonna be a good vid
Hehe thanks man :D
Thomas can you make a deep video on changing edge flow and good topology
Yes I will !
@@ThomasColin3D thanks man im having problems with that
For how long have you been learning blender ?? that topology is unmatched !
Since 2019, but I started learning 3D in a school 10 years ago. I was working with 3dsmax and Maya before !
this is a great video on topology topic but I think it would be perfect if you explained all your moves and why you did them. I have to dig a lot and yet don't know the reason behind many of your moves.
It will be explained better in the next video 🙂
this is cool!
Thank you!
If you teach during working it will very helpful for biggner ❤
amazing video
Thanks you very much !!
Subbed you're amazing
Thanks you very much!
Great!
Thanks a lot :)

Yep I know, it's just an old habit of mine to turn everything into quads haha
Wow
7:30 900iq tip😄
At 16:20 when you entered sculpt mode, how did you see the topology to scuplt? When i go into sculp mode im not sure how to smooth the topology as my model is as though im in object mode and cant see topology. Thanks
It's just like in edit mode, you just open the viewport menu and check wireframe. I just added this to a shortcut :)
@@ThomasColin3D thank you, i think you also skipped a part at 14:21 as i dont have that border
Țeavă 🤩
6:30 you add multiple faces. Was this done with an add on or will the FF face key fill in all those spots. (Not at a computer right now to test)
@@knightwalkr it's just the grid fill tool. Face > grid fill :)
nice
Thank you 🫡
just a question please. If we use quad remesher , shouldn't it retopologize it to quads instead of us doing it.
Yes of course but that's not the goal of my videos! Pushing a button is not going to make people great artists who can solve complex problems by hand :)
I really like your theme colors in blender! Would you be kind to share it? 🥲
It is available to download for free on Patreon :)
@@ThomasColin3D much appreciated! ❤️
Hey man really good tutorial but may i ask why at 7:59 my vertices dont connect the same way as yours and also i dont have the mirror editing chould be that ? sorry for the question im new to blender and im trying to learn.
Hey man! Thank you very much. Yes my vertices connect automatically because I turned on the auto merge vertices button :)
It's that blue button on the top right corner, above the navigation guizmo
the bevel at 10th minute is broken for me, the bottom row creates weird triangle.
Edit for anyone that encounters the same issue. Try to realculate normals (Shift + N by default)
Haha happy to see you fixed it yourself :) !
how did you split the plane down the middle at 0.47??
Ctrl + R :)
Thanks!
Wow !! Thanks a lot man !!! 🙏🏻😲
I know you deserve more! But.....
Im surprised this is free and not a course that costs 50 bucs. Keep it up
Thanks so much !! 😄
may i ask what did you do in 12:06 ? thank you :)
I opened the meshlachine menu and I chose "L select", it a fast way to select edge loops where there is a pole :)
The set flow option is an add-on right? I never seen it before
Yes it's a free Addon, very useful Addon. The link is in the description :)
thanks
i want some help can someone help me
I messed up in topology i AM ready to share file to see what is wrong and how to correct it
Hey man, join the discord and send a screenshot :)
wow i am here from aryan and you are exactly like he said
Thanks man :D
The tip of the knife ended up with the topology in triangles, couldn't the topology have been improved?
Also at 1:56 why did you do this? wasnt it fine already?
To get a better edge flow
Are you a wizard or just experienced?😂
I'm an experienced wizard 😂
I started to study 3D in a 3D school more than 10 years ago. I have a master's degree in 3D and VFX 🙂
1:55 what are you doing here I don't know is it some kind of addon or something?
No I was just struggling to connect the vertices XD
Bro i needs pubg m416 glacier can tech me how to create it
Hey man, what do you need exactly ? A full model ?
I need full model so I can learn how to create skins for games
Bro thinks we're pro's
As a beginner i will come back after improving my skills To catch up this video
My tutorials are more for intermediate user, but a beginner ce an still catch up
