I flew for over 30 years as a FA in the U.K. now blissfully retired! I just can’t get my head around the fact that you do so much work that’s unpaid. As much as I loved the lifestyle it was always about maximising my earnings and being able to purchase property as my side hustle. We were really well paid. Worked hard and saved hard. OMG, I’ve binged watched like 10 of your videos today! (just discovered your channel) Your enthusiasm is contagious! Makes me want to get out and hit the town more, instead of slam clicking so much. I love to see people living in the blessing, aware of how fortunate they (we) are to be able to experience this lifestyle. I was wondering, and have yet to see the answer in other videos (yet), why you commute to JFK when LAX is an option. (better flying, better seniority?) Also, was wondering where you grew up. Yes so in my latest I talk about it a little, I’ll share a link below but yes I’m JFK I have better seniority, and imo better flying, my favorite planes, just more layovers, friends I’ve made - so many things. And I grew up in Brooklyn haha - lived in nyc my whole life except for college and just moved for the first time this year. I’m always told I don’t have the accent though. What amazes me is to see how frequently you guys (flight attendants) have to eat out rather than preparing healthy meals at home for yourselves! Eating out is not healthy because the food is generally loaded with sodium and other stuff that is not good for your body. On top of eating unhealthy foods, you are also spending lots of hard-earned money which is not that much to begin with. Hopefully you have a rich sugar daddy to help you with the expenses.... you really need one in this job!! Do you have a crash pad in LA or do you rent an apartment. LA is extremely expensive.
Absolutely crazy that flight attendants only get paid once the plane pushes back. You are working as soon as you set for on the aircraft, readying the cabin, boarding passengers, checklists etc.. You're essentially g8ving the airline free labor; meanwhile salaries of corporate employees are through the roof. Unbelievable.

Everyone who works works hard. When someone chooses to commute across the country that is a choice they've made. If I were to go out and spoil myself everyday spending more than I made I'd be homeless. He is only earning 10 hours of flight time for the week so that is only $300 and the extra $2 off the plane. He spent $600 and made half that. Like any other job, live within your means. When he starts making $40-$50 hr flying, that may be the time to spoil yourself. I watch a lot of flight attendant vlogs and pretty much everyone of them spend a boat load of money which makes me wonder how they even survive. All you hear from FA is how they dont make much are only paid when the doors close but spend like they are pilots.
I do spend a lot, depending on the layover. Being that I was with friends and that I literally am obsessed with Seattle I had to 😂. But there are layovers where I don’t spend as much. Whenever I get worried financially I just remind myself that I’ve always had more than enough…so there’s no reason that would change. God and the universe have always taken really great care of me 🥹❤️ maybe I can make a video featuring those layovers where I spend less!

Yes, I understand you have to eat etc, but a $7.34 Dutch bros isn't a necessity or spending $40+ at Cheesecake Factory. You many be "traveling around" but you are not on vacation and should consider that when spending.
What's the alternative when you are out of state or out of country? You're lost likely not staying in an extended stay where's there a kitchen. Meal prep without refrigeration is not a good idea. So whats the alternative?
