- Once again you highly requested a new part, to continue invasion of America experimental journey so you see a sequel to part 1, where the Japanese invaded strong coastal fortress. Today takes place a massive D-Day kind of landing on the beaches of LA. American lines here are weak while the terrain is their biggest advantage to hold back hundreds of Jap marines, supported by amphibious tanks.
You've asked for it so the first time you see some armed citizens defending their home. Also, you'll see an Airforce comeback and improvements to video quality. As always, the map including the whole scenario is my own creation.

I really like the mafia perspective of this video. Its a fun but understandable concept to think that the mafia would rather join the American government in repelling a Japanese invasion opposed to allowing the Japanese to win. After all the Yakuza would wipe out the Mafia if the Japanese won, it only makes sense for them to make a stand.
If it were realistic there would be no invasion at all but yes if it somehow did happen the Japanese should expect heavy civilian and militia resistance.

Just to clarify: YES, *American citizens* could own fully-automatic SMGs like the Chicago Piano, the 1928 Thompson SMG with a 20-round stick magazine, a 50-round drum, a 100-round drum, or a 200-round drum. The Thompson was used in World War II because an Army officer could use his sidearm to refill the stick mag of his Thompson if he ran low on ammo.
And people think gun control is needed? If we would have had gun control in World War II, we would be speaking Japanese on the West Coast and German on the East Coast.
I dont see that as a negative speaking Japanese.

The Japanese were just as xenophobic and racist in Asia as the Germans were in Europe. All you have to know about that is how they treated their POWs -- which, given World War II was before the Geneva Convention, meant that the Japanese in prison camps did all sorts of war crimes, including torture, because American fighting men were white. It was even worse for Native Americans and the _Nisei_ who actually fought for the US military, like the Navajo who were the "Wind Talkers" during the Pacific Campaign. If those men were captured, they were seen as traitors and killed, if they didn't immediately renounce their comrades and swear allegiance to Japan.
The only reason why we value Japan today is because of how Westernized Japan became after the War.

@@isaiahwelch8066 You are talking as if the americans, british or french weren't as xenophobic before and during the war, given the fact that japan started its imperialistic actions in the 20th century and those countries way before. Gun control wouldn't have made the US speak german or japanese, that's an stupid idea, there were a thousand reasons why the axis wouldn't touch the mainland US and a thousand reasons they would touch it and still win with gun control. Of course, japan was a terrible nation in the way they treated the POWs, but nontheless the allies committed several war crimes and were too late and indecisive in the reasons for fighting, giving germany a lot of time and free will.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Yamato and or the 1st or 5th Carrier divisions were going to make their presence known at some point? Loved the video man!
Not just the lack of carriers and the associated warships which would, prior to an amphibious landing, supposed to lay a devastatingly destructive off-shore bombardment in order to weaken the defenses. Then there's the carrier-based air support from above to deal with any defending fighter planes in addition to the bombing and strafing of enemy positions!. This vid in many ways reminds me of the failed Cuban Bay of Pigs Invasion of 1961. lolololol

Never attack the enemy at their strongest point of defense unless you have no choice and you're willing to take on massive casualties and even then you must be supported with naval and air power. Dieppe is a classic example of that. (Recently declassified documents show that Dieppe was a diversionary tactic to mask a second mission to capture the German Enigma machine. I do like your Citizen Militiamen/AKA the Mafia joining the fight with Thompson sub machine guns. But Japan never had amphibious tanks or landing craft with turreted cannons. This idea would make a great alternate history movie or TV series

You know, I war gamed the invasion of the American West Coast in several ways. And the best results were not from an actual attempt to seize American territory, but selective raids to cripple and slow down American war production by West Coast factories, especially aircraft manufacturers. America was very worried about a Japanese invasion and I believe it was Patton who pre-positioned war supplies in the California desert. Then there was a Citizen Militia pool which could field millions of armed people to repell an actual invasion. Therefore, the Japanese would opt for limited objectives
