    I know you need the light for filming but I've lost count of the number of doubles I've had fishing 3 metres out on the method with punched polony on those pegs just as the light's fading. The skimmer fishing is generally very reliable that side anywhere from 10 to 25 metres depending on the day. Really enjoyed this, love Meadow Lands any time of the year.

      Meadowlands is a cracking venue... yeah the light was fading fast and it had been freezing during the day - I’m not sure the big boys wanted to play

    Great vid both. So would the final conclusion be that for a match you would have both styles set up and fished down the same hole? Maybe have a downstairs mix up next time and swap rods with each other?

    • @RobWootton
      @RobWootton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think In a match I’d start on the open ender and then try the method later on in the day.

    Hi Rob, your always on about dark gbait for clear water, wot would use for a very coloured lake?

    • @RobWootton
      @RobWootton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d start by using something really smelly as that’s probably more important in strong coloured water. I’m not so sure the colour is important if it’s the colour of tea so as long as it’s smelly I’m not too fussed. I’ve used the bright yellow swim Stim F1 in coloured water and it’s worked really well

    The 1st runner on your feeder rod looks close to your reel Rob or is that the camera angle?
    Do you choose glass tips for medium chucks on Stillwater when tow allows?
    Thanks and Happy Xmas look forward to watching you out on the bank soon 👍

    • @RobWootton
      @RobWootton  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s very close!!!! As I said the guides weren’t to my liking. It was a sample for me to look at mainly for the carbon and also the quiver tips.

    • @RobWootton
      @RobWootton  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were carbon tips

    So what about the rod?. Looks like a drennan? With the long handle ,position of the eyes and spigot joint it looked like you're legering with a waggler rod??

    • @RobWootton

      Forget the guides - they weren’t anywhere near correct. Can’t say where it’s from
