I bought one of these and had some of the same problems. I could only set the time and year. The month and dat would not work. Then the stopwatch wouldn't set right. I finally figured out how to get it working perfectly and neither the booklet you get with it nor their video tell you how to do it. What you have to do first is to go into the calibration of the chronograph by pressing the crown once while in Time mode and then press both pushers at the same time until the watch goes into the calibration mode. Then you follow the sequence in their video to set the 3 hands to 12 and the 2 dials to zero. then press the crown once and you return to Time mode. Now the procedures for setting the hour, minute. year, month, and date will work correctly. After it's all set, push the crown back in and the watch will start up and run perfectly. If the chronograph is not calibrated first, nothing else will work right but neither the instructions you get nor the video tell you that. It's a great, unique watch but the documentation leaves a lot to be desired
Yes. Been there done that. This issue is ongoing and happens more then one a week. I became very adept at fixing it. Victorinox finally replace the watch with a different model for us. They put two new movements in the watch in less then 12 months.

YEPP its a real challenge to reset the time and date if should hit the pins while working.
Watch the instructional video by Victorinox. It shows how to reset the hands. Yours is not calibrated right.
