Hello John, i can't seem to figure out how to change channels or switch over to the smart hub (Netflix, TH-cam, ect) can you give me an idea what im doing wrong. i say Alexa tell Harmony to turn on nextflix, i get "I didn't find an activity or favorite channel called netflix" i say Alexa tell Harmony to change to any channel and she says "ok" but nothing happens.
very solid instructions bud, I've been doing a ton of automation research for my disabled mother to try to paint a realistic picture of the overall advantages... you sir, did a great job of explaining the usage and ease of setup for these. I similar to yourself hit a bit of a wall when explaining how much this is going to enhance qualify of life. but I think you made this accessible for many, no pun intended. good work, looking forward to an update from you in the future

I might have to give in and get a Dot. It's so cool that you can control the Harmony hub with it. Do you know what would happen if you had two harmony hubs in your house. Will Alexa be able to control both?
Hi John, thank you so much. I’m thinking this is getting me in the right direction, but i need to take it a step further. I am setting up for someone who not only is visually impaired, but would have trouble voice activating due to a couple strokes, he can’t speak well. I have some thoughts here, but am having trouble figuring out how to execute. Ultimately, he needs access to a few tv channels. I’m wondering with this system, with the harmony hub, could you make a push able button on the homescreen of an iPhone? Or one of the echo buttons that are programmable? Or on the main screen of the echo show? I don’t have the smart things hub, or any hub, but I’m not sure if its necessary? Thank you for any help, this is truly a frustrating time for him.
John, very nice, to see the Harmony Hub addition to your smart home. In your endeavors, have you had any success getting either Smart Things Hub v2 or Wink Hub2 to recognize the Harmony Hub Devices or Activities to include in your smart hub automation routines (aka rules/shortcuts/scenes)?
John, great, am interested if you find a good app. if you have not tried "yonomi" app yet, may want to look into, nice interface and showed promise - for integration w smart things . However i don't have ST, instead have harmony and Wink2. I really like wink interface and its direct recognition of Lutron caseta.

Really like this video I'm disabled and I have been building a smart home for some time and finding ways to help people with disabilities now I am using things like Philips Hue and the harmony hub also use an app called yonomi which you can put on android tablets or iPad and gives you a very easy to use interface
John There is a web site that does control your wink devices around the house on your computer while not as pretty as smarttiles it does indeed work well
