Try a little different way of using my CHA MPAS from the car. NOTE: Stand still with the car so this method can not be used while driving. Bad propagation but still managed with some QSO with Italy / 1772km away from me. Yes the video was a thought to show how to mount CHA Jaw mount, CHA Hyrbid Micro and CHA Mil whip at the car. 73's SA5LKC

Yes, it works really well. However, poor propagation but most of the video is a way to show this two ways to mount the antenna. But managed as long as 1772km with 5 watts through the bad :)

What does bad propagation mean ? You could run a ground lead from the antenna to car

@@ronangsr I think he's referring to the lack of sunspots, due to the solar minimum, that means radiowaves don't refract off the ionosphere very well, at times (e.g. when you are trying to record a TH-cam video). :-)

Hi ,i want to make this setup to my car with the hybrid mini , mil whip (no mil extension) and my yaesu 891 .These setup allow to tx from 1,8 to 54 mhz?What about the swr ?the tuner fix it ok to all bands?

William Goldberg thanks William. I can tell you, one thing I miss from back home, is visiting down south. The last time I visited Georgia, I remember having pancakes, eggs and sausage in this little diner just off the main Highway. To this day I think it was the best breakfast I ever had. That was in 93 while on a motorcycle tour through the south. Great experience, and awesome people. I still tell stories about that little diner to my friends today.

Is there a way to ground the antenna when placed on top of the roof with the magnetic mount? Would this make any difference?
