Thank you for watching my interview with the cast of IN THE HEIGHTS! If you liked it, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! I’m posting new celebrity interviews every week!
I arrived in the Heights as a 4 year old from Cuba, graduated from Incarnation School on 175th. St. and lived at 720 W. 181 St. Most importantly, I met my wife on the A train and my son has been on the creative staff of two Broadway shows. Now living in another state and I can't wait to see the movie in NYC on June 11th. I saw the stage show at the 37th. Arts Theater in NYC and told Lin after the show that he/it would win a Tony. Pacienca y fe.
love this so much. must be surreal to be from the play in the show and film! i’m dragging my older sister to go see it with me tonight even though she doesn’t like musicals but i told her she’d love it, so we’ll see! it’s a good day :-)
I know right! I feel that In The Heights will/can spark off fanfiction about like you said, prequels and sequels, especially based on what they've added to the storyline in the movie
They definitely know they are signing "Carnaval del barrio" "Just make it up as you go We are improvisando Lai le lo lai lo le lo lai You can sing anything"
That also kind of proves they don't in any other song though, since Carla nor anybody else ever asks those questions when jumping into any other song/dance number
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS MOVIE! They couldn't have casted anyone better for these roles...the cast was so great, the songs were amazing, the dancing is definitely something I never be able to do...I loved everything about this movie.
I think of the moment in The Fisher King when Robin Williams sees Amanda Plummer in the train station, and all of a sudden the crowd begins to split up into couples who take each other in their arms and waltz, and the air fills with little splinters of light and the whole place becomes a ballroom... until he loses sight of her and the music stops and the crowd suddenly goes back to being a crowd.
SO EXCITED FOR THE MOVIE!! I sadly wasn’t able to get the early screening, but I will try to get to the movie theater on June 11th! I have been waiting for this movie for years! :)
He never was in the Dominican Republic...Vanessa painted the store to look like a beach in the DR...and she achieved her dream of becoming a Manhattan fashion designer...he stayed in Washington Heights.

In the heights has so much depth and characters with such huge story lines it can be made into prequels and sequels and individual character series.

I would love a sequel to this movie. I’m sure Lin has the creativity to create more songs and storylines with these characters

I spot at least 6 potential Oscar nominations in this movie
