5-2-21 Yazoo City, MS CLOSE RANGE Large Tornado FULL CHASE in 4K

  • In the afternoon of 5-2-21, multiple supercells formed in Louisiana and moved across the Mississippi River into Mississippi. Many of these discrete/semi-discrete supercells became prolific tornado producers.
This is our chase from that event with a total of 7 intercepts of various tornadoes. Some at EXTREMELY close range. We did travel through or near the damage path a few times but did not encounter any significant structural damage to houses or individuals needing assistance.
Footage was shot with a Sony AX-100 4K camcorder and a Blackvue 4K dash cam.

I can really appreciate how respectful you all are to each other. I feel it almost mandatory as a viewer to say a "thank you" for not being like those chasers that are constantly screaming and consistently tearing their teammates down verbally. Y'all stay safe and I hope y'all get the best footage you can.

Thank you! We honestly try to keep calm and organized on each chase. It helps us focus on all aspects and reduces unneeded stress. It means alot to hear people enjoy the dynamics of the chase and the content.

Hey there, everyone! First off, thank you for swinging by and watching this video! This was a wild day and definitely my top tornado day so far. Hopefully, you all will consider subscribing.
I'd like to address the usage of the abbreviation "tor".
Firstly, We utilize this a lot in our forecasting/chasing message groups, as it's easier to type out "tor warning" when letting everyone know.
Secondly, I am not the one saying it. No, it doesn't bother me. No, I won't correct people's choice of words/abbreviation (unless swearing/disrespectful during videos). Since that's how we read it when it's sent in a message, sometimes that's the abbreviation our minds go to when speaking out loud.
Thirdly, after 3:30 - 4:00, the abbreviation is not used again. If you are unwilling to skip, leave a comment so the algorithm gets further boosted.
Thank you all again for your support! Hopefully, I'll see you around for more chases soon! 😀

@@TornadoWarned , I do not think "jealous people" has anything to do with it. But since your making up abbreviations, I am making up the acronym T.O.R.N.A.D.O. for, Terrifying Of Rapid Nature And Destruction Obliteration. What you think? You have my permission to use it, as long as you put it on your chase vehicle. I think it is way cooler than Tor... OBTW, the vid is a good vid tho.

I once worked at Jackson, MS. Yeah, a lot of low instability/high shear environments with low LCLs and low-topped discrete supercells or QLCSs.
Nice footage and I enjoy the lack of banshee-like screaming, unlike certain other known chasers who can't keep this s**t together or their narcissistic egos are beyond what they think they are.
That nonsense and sensationalism gets tiresome and y'all didn't do that.

@@TornadoWarned Being a senior met almost 30 years, I appreciate professionalism guys. I get calls from chasers all the time, but not only was your footage good, your staying calm and professional is what caught my ears.
And what's cool is I lived on the E shore of Ross Barnett Reservoir around Y2K in E Rankin Co (N Brandon) and not too far from Yazoo Co & City. Challenging region as you don't get the booming CAPE like in the Plains, Midwest, and Upper MS Valley. I'll definitely be looking forward to more great footage. Thinking when I retire soon, I may go do a seasonal pilgrimage myself with some seasoned mets.

Often times, with fast moving tornadoes moving through densely forested areas such as Mississippi and most of Dixie Alley, 911 calls are not the best, go-to option for chasers. By the time accurate information is given, the tornado will have already moved through the area or visual sight will be lost rendering accuracy nonexistant.
