I am italian, and this song is about a love, a metaphor of a bird who flew away in the wrong sky...and says, "Where are you, where are you?"...so, when ahe sang, she semmed to talk directly to her father, who wrote this song tears song and died when she was only 12, he died on the stage during a performance by an heart attack. So this performance by his daughter is so impressive.....

This is a love song, but it talks about a person now distant, at least physically... Think of a great love that is no longer there, but remembering the feeling that there was and that is still present, very strong. Now imagine seeing a daughter singing these words thinking of her father... it was a very strong emotion for all of Italy.

It was an amazing performance, I'm sure we'll remember it for years in Italy. I cried a lot, especially during the lyrics ("where are you? You're in the wrong sky"). During Sanremo, I really liked "I Santi Francesi," but no one cared about them. They were all rooting for Annalisa and Geolier 🙄
