It’s amazing how I have to remind people who say to me about cycling, yes I do pay my road tax, through my Council Tax bill and yes I also pay vehicle tax for my car due to emissions!! And yes I do pay insurance, for my car, and also my for my bike and me, to protect myself against ‘some’ vehicle drivers who pass close etc etc. Hubs and I are courteous cyclists, pull over to let cars pass on narrow country lanes etc, and we certainly don’t jump red lights! We’d like to keep living. It feels like society is broken in many many ways. Such a shame. Take care James 🥰

So many nails hit on so many heads! We humans are becoming so tribal it's ridiculous - everyone hates every one else. Cyclists blah blah blah... Tractors should be banned from the roads... Trucks should only travel at night...I love getting on the comments section on Cornwall Live and taking these people to task! I could rant for hours about how entitled and moronic these people are, but I think you covered everything perfectly well yourself James. Great stuff!

The world have gone crazy, Some Times i wonder is there any good roads on the moon to try cycle to.. Cause it would be great to escape from earth some months...but We have to be strong and carry on whit The Daily life james.... Your emonda looks like a jewel... That blue coulor is crazy beautyful... I have a older emonda that is chocolate brown.. Most of my free time i look on it 😁cause i have the cycle on balcony... I do some smal adjustnents and buy things to it.. I take it out on a ride last week.. It was Nice.. When i get more stamina i wil try follow some chain gang groups of cyclists.. I agree that people get crazy behind steering wheel.. I try to think like a driver of car when i cycle.. Avoid get angry is importent cause it cost lot of energy.. Take care of you james.. Safe riding 💪🙏🧙♂️

Your ‘rant’ was soooo true, James. The amount of hate towards cyclists from some drivers is totally irrational. They can’t be a full shilling! Plus, anyone offended by your Saville video need to grow up 😂
It’s estimated that there is over 1 million uninsured vehicles on our roads every day, and roughly the same amount of drivers who don’t hold a license. And yet all these immature drivers worry about, is if a cyclist has insurance, which makes me laugh. Take care James. ⚡️🚴🏻
The country is becoming very polarised. Most cyclists are drivers. A lot of anti driver rhetoric comes out of the cycling press and far left and then a lot of anti cyclist rhetoric comes from the far right and the normal person is stuck in the middle while both extremes try to out each other. I don't have much of an issue with car drivers speeds in most cases, but close passing is my biggest annoyance. Living in Wales we have this insane 20mph speed which you might think makes things safer, but I can't say I've found it any safer myself. I get cars stuck behind me go for a very close risky pass where in the past they would of just gone out and passed wider. It's the combination of anti driver which in turn is also causing a backlash incorrectly against cyclists. Have you noticed it's all got a lot worse since ULEZ zones and slower speeds have come in.
