This sounds like a drastic overpayment. He steals a lot of bases (at least last year) but his OPS is only OK, his BA is high middling, no real power but he does pick the balls hit at him. Not worth Arias and Cabrera and Stroman. Stroman and Cabrera? Ok. I see the future infield being a combination of Lombard Jr., Arias, Volpe and possibly Ben Rice.
I would do it for Yankees if it was real, but it is not. It would solve infield problems. Yankees still have Peraza and DJ as bacskup infielders and Lombard in the minors.
@ I would almost prefer to rush either Arias or Lombard Jr to the majors than make a silly trade like this. I keep saying it: the Yankees had black holes at 1st, 3rd, LF and half the year at 2nd and went to a World Series. Even with the loss of Soto, this team is well ahead of last year’s version. Awesome Closer, another excellent starter, gold glove and hitting machine now in LF, former MVP at 1B. If Dominguez, Wells, Volpe, Cabrera and Peraza continue to develop, a repeat or even better results should follow. And don’t forget a full year (knock on wood) of Cole and a stronger ROY in Gil.
So no sources, just speculation off a Social media blog? What a waste dude, post a video with some real sources. Your killing me with these clickbate thumbnails that make it seem like there is some real sources or possibilities... I'm about to NOT click on any of your videos in the future brother. I don't mind speculation, but don't thumbnail tease us like it might be real. This is LITERALLY why I have never subscribed.... And many other Yankees fans might be annoyed and put off by this clickbate TH-cam tactic.
Every guy in the lineup does not need to be a homerun slugger. Some of the best teams led by Jeter had contact hitters with homerun sluggers--you need both. If you try to win with the long ball all the time, well you're going to end up with no rings.
Cubs would not be interested in taking Stroman back. They were glad to see him go and do not want his contract. They traded Bellinger to get rid of his contract why would they take an $18 Million dollar contract for a declining pitcher?
I don't like it, I really like Cabrera, he has great value cuz he can play anywhere, the kid Arias I know very little of, but if they can dump Stro's salary, okay. Cabrera will hopefully play more.
Aaron judge has only had one year with a decent hitter around him that was 2024. The great Yankee teams were built on balance this era baseball is built on home runs and strikeouts which is boring. They need a great contact hitter and I'm hoping v o l p e eventually learns that particular skill set. The Yankees farm system doesn't produce enough talent because the scouting isn't good enough. The key to this yankee team could be Dominguez who has all the tools and ability to really make judge even greater than he already is
This is like what I would give for Donovan at most maybe Massey but this haul is ridiculous I think if it was true the cubs would already have done it so it’s a trash lie
This is why your views are down, this is a stupid take no one makes this trade not the Yankees or cubs a 273 hitter with 7 homers lol not even worth the prospect
If you can't get significantly better than Cabrera, forget about it. This would be a bad trade.
Nico is better
That’s to much to give up for him

Why not Cabrera and Paraza with Stro? I just don't wanna give up Arius!

They need guys who can hit for average. For some reason that has no value anymore
this is a mock trade. Was it even discussed by the clubs? Do the Cubs want to lose Hoerner?
Will Warren & Everson Pereira & Oswald Peraza for Nico. Peraza is out of options , Yankees have to trade him
Nico is worth it complete the all defensive rebuild
