My VE 6.0 wagon started idling really roughly and engine light came on. A certain mechanic franchise check the codes and said there was one injector failure and a second random circuit failure. Said they can replace all injectors for $1200 so I took it to a reliable local shop and was told they just need a clean for $400.
    Been running sweet since

Hey for sure, remove & clean is often just as good, injector failure is another common fail & cheap aftermarket injectors kits now available can be an easy replace too.. Always good to get it idling nice again hey!

Great Information video mate. I'm in the middle of trying to diagnose my car. This will help me hopefully. I have misfires on Cylinders 2, 4 and 6..

Glad it helped mate, 3 missing cylinders is interesting, could be a more simple problem like the plugs havn't been replaced in a long time (like over 100,000ks) & they may be worn down now to cause misfire on multiple cylinders.. very common.. let us know how you get on!

Hey Mike,so I have take the intake manifold off to check spark plugs and Coils, they look fine no oil on Coils 2,4,6 however looks like a lil build up of residue maybe oil in Cylinder 2, but i also have issues cranking the damn thing. I have changed the Cam Sensors on bank 2. Still hard to start. Any help would be appreciated. 👍

Hey Jack, without knowing your level of knowledge on the 5.7L/6.0L V8 Chev engine, it's a bit hard to diagnose... but beginning firstly with charging or renewing your battery &/or starter motor-cranking system, then fully testing the plugs & coils (not just a visual inspection) to be sure everything is operating 100% along the chain, then checking all rockers & compression as in the video is essential to begin with. Also a quality scan tool will give the most info possible to help.. If you get stuck, & have done all the things suggested above, & everything has tested good, it may be best to take to Holden to get their computers & expertise on it. One thing is for sure, you have to be very thorough to correctly test or replace the electrical gear like plugs, plug leads & coils. You can't guess on those things! :) Hope you get it purring again soon :)

@@mikemike7523 thats a great start, thank you. I have already pulled off the intake manifold, removed 2 4 and 6 Coils and spark plugs inspected them they look fine. The wiring harnesses also look good. Ground wires are grounded tight. also gonna try remove the valve covers on bank 2 to see if there is any visual damage on the rockers, Piston rings etc... I ordered a compression gauge. Just waiting for delivery.. Thanks Mike.

My vf2 ss is doing this now too. Service esp warning and sounds very rough idling. Smell of fuel too.

Is always good to find a video that helps you sort your problem.. could be as simple as the front two fuel management o2 sensors need renewing, or check compression etc to see if top end parts are functioning all as it should be! Let us know! 😃
