I really hope they don't do another flashy biopic that doesn't tell the true story. Bob Marley deserves better.

The legend of Bob Marley should just be immortalized through his documentaries, interviews, and music alone. I feel some music legends don't need a biopic and should be left alone.

uhh what? Did we watch the same trailer? This guy sounded nothing like Bob. Bob spoke patois with such a heavy accent that yanks like me have a hard time understanding it. Kingsley sounds clear as day in this trailer. No bueno.

nothing about this looks amazing. Everything is wrong, from the look and feel of Marley, to the clarity and cleanliness of the picture and the supporting cast. Typical Hollywood biopic garbage. This will be neither a good nor accurate film.

Can't believe that it took so long for a biopic on Bob Marley! As a Jamaican, I can hear the subtle difference in the lead actor's accent but it looks very interesting- definitely will watch it!
Both the picture and actors look too clean. Typical Hollywood bs. This movie is not going to be good.

Ngl, I was scared to watch this trailer. Even considered not watching the movie. Bob Marley is next to God in my mind and I don't want to disabuse myself of that image. You know how they say never meet your heroes. This looks decent. The hair and prosthetic teeth bother me, but... I can look past it. I'd be interested to hear what Ziggy, Stephen and Damian (my other 3 Marley faves) have to say about this.

I wondered the same thing. As a true Jamaican, you can notice each flaw in the attempt to get the accent right. Great effort though from what i can see in the trailer, But I can't wait to see it. Big up Jamaica and Bob's family. One love.....

@@kind2311 I find it hard to believe that Bob's wife and two older children will tarnish his legacy with a half ass lifetime type film about his life. The marley family was also behind the definitive documentary "Marley" which is a great depiction of who bob was. I have faith in this biopic film because I know if the Marley family is behind this it will be done well and respectful to his memory and legacy.
Now if the Marley family wasn't part of this that will be a different story and you say its a pay day well duh why not get paid for the tremendous work you put in a project about your dad's life. Would you do it for free?

How can you fault the Marley's for getting paid off of their contribution to a film about the man who made it possible for them to cherish his legacy?
Its their JOB to do this Cedella Marley (Bob's Daughter) is the CEO of Tuff Gong. Rita, Cedella, and Ziggy all WORKED on this film to get it right so of course they should get paid. Ziggy was on set everyday as well with Neville Garrick (Bob's Friend) everyone who knew Bob was on set to guide Kingsley the right way to portray Bob. This is not no average lifetime or vh1 low budget film this is a high budget feature film.
You saying it doesn't matter if the Marley's involved because they in it for the money.
But come on if you was related to Bob Marley would you do all this hard work in a movie for free?
My point is just because the Marley's getting paid doesn't mean the film will flop because if you do your research and read interview transcripts of Ziggy and Reinaldo Marcus Green (Director) they clearly state this film is not the average biopic film it will show all aspects of Bob's personality not the guy WE (Fans) think we know.
That right there tells me its being done right and its in good hands.
