Techical fault? ya... ...simple missions...sure! ...needed destructible environments?...probably! ...greater variety of enemies and more than 3 on screen at a time?...would be nice! ...more agressive ennemies But above all...does it immerse you in the Grendizer world and play well while offering great vistas and countless lore nods...yes it does! If the dev can create more content (downloadable and patches) and iron out a few of the rough spots....i think this should be considered a very promising 1st step for this franchise that is perfect for video games! By far...the best Grendizer game ever made to this day!

I am aware that this game will not be the game of the year and that we could have done better but it's like always, there is always better but it's more expensive.
The problem is the price tag of the game, it should had been 30bucks max. But it's not a bad game, just too simple. I also heard Microids put too short deadlines for their small team.
I do not think so unfortunately btc Saudi company made this game and mazainger series are not that famous in Arab countries because graindizer was dub first 😅😅

I agree, a lot of the voice acting is a little, off. Like I was excited to have Danbei be southern but then to see Hikaru not be is weird. It was also a little weird to hear the japanese hero Koji Kabuto speak like he was a companion from doctor who. I think the ADR director should've watched the japanese verison to get a little more of Duke's character.

I wish there was a little more to it. The show comes into its own later, so we need to speed up. That said, I'm glad that the game added onto the story (Although, I'm curious as to where Duke's injury comes into play. I thought the show said he got his injury AFTER getting Grendizer.) because something I complain about in the original show is that Koji took some parts away from Duke. Edit: And it wins me ober with a recreation of the opening!

I think it's a mix of the sound effects, voice acting, difficulty, and music variety. The music is really good but not at the level of making me *feel* like I'm in a super robot anime. But i haven't played the game yet, so my opinion might change. I will be getting the game tonight, hopefully. So I'll be able to try it then.

I don't know.... it doesn't look like you are controlling a giant robot. Maybe making things slower? More gravity? Looks like the robot is made of foam. The ps4 godzilla game nailed that aspect, but failed in a lot of others areas.
Every time they make a video game from a manga or movie without including the original soundtrack, they lose the opportunity to do a good job. If they are afraid of losing money due to copyright, don't make the video game.
I find it quite exciting to see the Shogun Warriors brought to a console after all these years. However, I must say... the game looks to be monotonous and somewhat dull after a short period. The repetitive nature of the gameplay diminishes my interest.
Lol 5 hours. Glad I got physical half off for january 2024. Do hope dlc can be bought separately 35:35 feels like a lazy cutscene blurry approach and 36:18 no exiting water detail. But yeah low price is fine. 2:20 fake choice as family evacuates if you choose them.

This is the English dub of all time. British Koji Kabuto and everyone wildly mispronouncing Japanese names so badly is so baffling it's hilarious. And there's not even a Japanese audio track for the game at launch is what makes it funnier.
I love Goldorak, but the game really looks like a ps2 game. Even mobile phones do a better job. Moreover, the limited gameplay just makes everything a shame 😢😢😢
I understand the nostalgia of some people who actually saw the anime in childhood, but as a game this is just not very good. They want it to feel like the anime but the anime did not age well. The music is unbearable to listen to. The voice acting is atrocious. As far as gameplay when you move there is no feeling of scale or mass of the robot. The robot is too agile. It just looks, sound, and feels bad. Gameplay is extremely boring button mashing. The introduction of the shoot ‘em up levels is pretty good. But not enough of it.

This feels like a simple game but it delivers on what we wanted: Kicking ass with the Grendizer and its bucketload of arsenals.
i was maybe 5 years old when i watched the anime .... now i'm 45 years old and this is really brought a lot of joy . hope to see more !!!

Grendizer is supposed to be a 100 foot mecha but it's movement & melee sound fx is humanoid.

There are not many combo moves, not even in weapons. New features do not appear as you advance in missions. This makes the game a bit boring.
