A case of honor killing has taken place in Indiranagar area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). Because of an inter-caste marriage here, the girl's family killed her son-in-law. Both Amit Salunkhe and Vidya Kirtishahi had an inter-caste marriage. On June 14, both of them got married in the Buddhist way in Pune. However, this marriage was not accepted by Vidya's family. On July 14, Amit was attacked by Vidya's father and brother. Amit was seriously injured in this attack. Amit was being treated in the hospital for 12 days, finally Amit died on 26th July. Currently Vidya's father and brother are absconding, Sambhajinagar police are searching for them.
छत्रपती संभाजीनगरच्या (औरंगाबाद) इंदिरानगर भागात ऑनर किलिंगचा प्रकार घडला आहे. इथं आंतरजातीय विवाह केल्यामुळे मुलीच्या घरच्यांनी जावयाची हत्या केली. अमित साळुंखे आणि विद्या किर्तीशाही या दोघांनी आंतरजातीय विवाह केला. 14 जूनला पुण्यात या दोघांनी बौद्ध पद्धतीनं लग्न केलं. मात्र, हे लग्न विद्याच्या घरच्यांनी मान्य केलं नाही. 14 जुलैला अमितवर विद्याचे वडील आणि भावाने हल्ला केला. या हल्ल्यात अमित गंभीर जखमी झाला. १२ दिवस अमितवर रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरु होते, अखेर २६ जुलैला अमितने प्राण सोडले. सध्या विद्याचे वडील आणि भाऊ फरार आहेत, संभाजीनगर पोलीस त्यांचा शोध घेत आहेत.
