A toy-train ride from Coonoor to Ooty was probably the best experience during our 4-day trip to Ooty-Coonoor. It was a memorable railway journey as we boarded on the Coonoor to Ooty Heritage Toy Train. This nostalgic train journey offers visitors a wonderful travel experience moving through lush green tea fields, dense forests, tall mountainous trees and mesmerizing mountains and hills. It covers a distance of about 20 kms from Coonoor to Ooty. This slow train journey along the hills and valleys gives you a heavenly feeling as you get lost in the endless beauties of nature.
The train operates under the Nilgiri Mountain Railway which has been recognized by UNESCO as one of the prominent World Heritage Site.
