Yokohama has one of the best Christmas markets in Japan, with genuine German vendors. Drinking Glühwein and eating a Currywurst at a waterfront in Japan is quite a trip. 🤣
Yokohama is where foreigners first came to Japan. You see the influence with food. You also should try the curry as it first was made in Yokohama on a military base but that recipe is now at a restaurant near the American military base though I don’t know the name of the restaurant. It’s the closest curry recipe to the original version. I know japanology once featured the restaurant on their curry episode. There’s actually a weird American town in Yokohama though it’s such a mental trip.

That actually is a Bao. Honestly that style is just making waves in the culinary scene. You see that type of bao pop up everywhere because it’s easy and portable. Usually with some soup as it’s good for dipping.
LOL I could not even figure out if it was japanese with that speaker. Did they use one from the noise toys for small children? That is the only type of speaker that has that quality.
When you go to China, please visit a city called Chengdu. My daughter goes there for work for 4-6 month,starting in november, and I want to recommend her some good food places :D

@mareiketje4899 Not sure why having a few months of Asian content is bad vs the years of European/US content? They love food and travel and just because they are from the US and Germany doesn't mean they have to make content just about those countries. If you don't like Asian content you can take a break until content that you like comes back like what most people do.

This is my hometown! Much less tourists and very calm atmosphere compared to Tokyo. I also recomend Kamakura which is 25 min from Yokohama by train!
