Excellently done. Especially prying off the control arm. You don't need to remove casting from the shock though. It works on the car. But for this video it sure makes it clear. His bearing came out much easier than mine. Mine was so tight it destroyed the roller bearing. Freezing was a great idea too. Mine did not want to go in straight. It started cock eyed and did not appear that it would straighten out so I ground out a bit of a chamfer in the casting and then carefully tightened and measured and tapped it until it was straight. But then again mine was very tight coming out so it had a tighter press I think. Note when he used a press it popped when it straightened out. Make sure you PRESS IT ON ALL THE WAY! I thought I did, but there was maybe a 1mm gap. I put it all together, and the disk was too far out and it rubbed on the brake casting. I ground it off so it wouldn't rub, but the ABS was faulting. Too much gap. So.... have to tear into it again.

Angående den spesial bitsen som brukes som separator. Har du den ikke, bare skru ut bolten, skru den inn igjen på andre siden, legg ei skive i mellom og skru til den åpner seg. Men jeg skal bestille meg de Hazet 4912-1 og 4912-2 pipene likevel👍

You do not need this expensive tool the same provision can be made, ie pushing ťhe bearing home by the outer race, with two pieces of 10mm key steel, (EN8), to make bridges across the backs of 4 of the studs to the bearing outer race. You may also use a little shim, (steel can is 0.1mm) to ensure races are safely loaded. I have done exactly this perfectly successfully using an oven and freezer and a 400 mm length of M24, with suitable packing. Oh, and a bench vice is always worth the investment.

Det lar seg gjøre å bytte hjullager med dette verktøyet med hjullagerhuset (spindelen) montert på bilen, men vår erfaring er at hjullageret sitter svært godt fast slik at det kan føre til problemer med å få separert hjullageret fra hjullagerhuset fordi man ikke har så godt mothold. Fordelen med å ta hele hjullagerhuset ut av bilen, og sette det fast i en skrustikke, er at man får bedre kontroll på momentet man tilfører hjullagerverktøyet ved demontering / montering. Man får også langt bedre kontroll på at hjullageret blir korrekt presset vinkelrett inn (unngår at det blir presset skjevt). Håper dette ga deg svar på din fråga :-). Mvh Studio - Bildeler.no

Ещё очень хотелось бы увидеть как подшипник с самой ступицы элегантно снимается, а то целиком запчасти менять не всегда имеется возможность, а если уж на то пошло почему кулак в сборе со ступицей не поменять...
Очень хотелось бы посмотреть, как Вы без такого сьемника в Фольксваген Т5 замените ступичный подшипник за 8 минут. Данный сьемник нужен для замены корпусных ступичных подшипников.
I am also doing suspension work. But your method is not good. Because we can change the pair of bearing around 15 to 20 mins. And we cannot use your method for different cars. because some cars have bearing lock under the bearing. So your method not seems to be interesting.

Nice job of using the correct tool. I am not sure if you saved much time by placing the new hub in the freezer.
