I went to see my childhood home and hometown salford it hadnt changed for the better everything has gone though nothing can stay the same forever time waits for no one this song came to mind to see how a town could be brought to its knees when i returned

Heard so many stories from my da who lived through the worst of the worst troubles in derry , a 15 year old in the early 70s with 12 brothers, when I was growing up the situations he went through, when he spoke about some of the stuff it was like he had made up stories you only Seen on TV now a days , that generation gave up so much an sacrificed to much for future generations , most of which now a days kids haven't a clue what went on , the pain hurt death on both sides, lifetimes in jail cells , the people at the bottom gave the most an were damaged for life , all for equal rights for every man woman an child to be treated equally no matter what religion you were or your background , ❤❤❤

My past towns were filled with drugs and thugs so I can't relate to good memories of my old town... I grew up in filth with my parents.. My parents struggled so much that they were super thin from not having enough money for food for us.. My dad was not able to read and my mother had an abusive step dad that chased her with a knife and an ax. So they had a messed up life before me.. I was born in the struggle but my parents did what they could.. Just getting out of the hole is hard.. If you make it, then life can start getting better..
