The point of the game is grind. So speed and time are the most important thing, because no one wants to fight for 10 minutes in a battle. Yes sometimes this happens to some people in fatal towers, but ask them what would they rather: 10min of infinite loop/stun or 1-2 mins with high damage

In my opinion it depends how good we can play with specific card. For one player same card can be bad, for other can be insanely good. It's about how good you can control it. Lots of people laugh from Kraken Reptile but from my experience when I started to play years ago he became higher fusion compared to others and he carried my account so long. I learned how to properly use him. I didn't used him many years now but still remember how good he was at difficult battles.
I just used both of them same gears and all and Flaming Fist Liu Kang is no where near Lizard Baraka level at all. I was actually quite shocked of the potential of Flaming Fist Liu Kang I have him fully ascended of course he is a nice gold but to say that he’s Better than Lizard Baraka is crazy I know it’s your opinion but it’s just insane because Lizard Baraka is actually better than a lot of diamonds mean while Flaming Fist Liu Kang is definitely not at all. All Flaming Fist Liu Kang has is that he’s fast since he loses his passive basically after 5 seconds on tag in which is very bad. Now Lizard Baraka can gain speed easily by doing his special 2 so already there on the same level right there but the thing is Lizard Baraka can do a lot more and he gains extra damage each hit, on tag in he can’t get intercepted by basic attacks and continues to gain power automatically also being able to have power drain on special one is big, and even when Liu Kang is fully ascended his stats are still lower than Baraka’s. Overall I feel like Baraka can do a lot more than Flaming Fist Liu Kang.

To be honest Baraka and Liu Kang are on my top 5 best gold cards. I have Baraka on my beginner account fusion 0 and he helps me a lot! On my banned account I had Liu Kang fusion 11 and he was destroying tower battles!! Love them both!
For me both are super good, Flaming Fist Liu Kang is simply too amazing with his speed which matters as you said because in boss battles even 1 second difference counts too. I ascended Flaming Fist Liu Kang to ascended 1/f11 without even thinking about it twice because he is a godlike gold character i think. Even people shit on Grandmaster Sub Zero but if you give him good gear he can perform good too. You know what matters? What matters is staying alive in a boss battle for longer as an intermediate player. If you can stay alive longer you will deal more damage right? baraka can survive more than liu kang does for his excellent passive. So, I think baraka is better for surviving full time in a boss battle (if you don't have the best maxed out equipment) and surviving full time means more damage. But you were right about liu Kang being faster 👍🏿.

i'm not arguing about anything but its just my opinion in this dual the gear its somewhat benificial to liu kang like the equipment giving what he needed critical hit chance and 50%cost reduction if he dont have that maxed equipment he wouldnt have do it in 20sec. if you want to compare him dont give them any equiment. and about lizard baraka with boss fights his damage will increse with time(damage boost by stacking hits) so first 20sec dont decide the fight. My point is equiment is the deciding factor that how fast they can finish the battle.

When it comes to the speed thing. Yes killing f 200 bosses slightly faster doesn't matter to me because this is 1 fight out of 200 (or let's assume we have 2 hard boss fights so that is 2 fights out of 200). Being able to clear regular tower fights past 100, SM and Krypt will amass huge time advantage compared to just fatal 200 in the tower. I hope that makes sense.
Yeah but if you are a character that can kill a boss fast, most likely you can kill any opponent fast also. It means they have the chaining, Sp attacks etc. to do a fast kill. There is no fast boss killer that cant beat a Krypt fight fast. Then you have specific characters that are not meant to kill bosses or battles fast. They are meant to support, disable, dots or to stay untouched during stun/freeze loops. Different story, they are not classed as boss killers or are by your own term “monsters”. Totally different purpose. So if they cant defeat opponents fast it dont matter as much. In fact, in my Gold list, most of the characters are not boss killers but have totally different abilities.

Krypt can never be the best mode. Look how dry the game feels whenever theres no Fatal Tower. I can go without Krypt because 70% of the time the things in krypt are just throwaways for me and its not like i have a maxed account. But to me most krypt seasons just arent worth the grind. Where as towers i get a lot more rewarding feeling playing it, especially battle 180 up
