One of my favourite albums. There really is something special about Wayne Shorter and to add Freddie Hubbard, well extra special. You pack a whole lot of information into 10 minutes. Thanks so much for the review.
3:38 That photo gave me pause for a moment. Something about that being Coltrane‘s wife Naima (as suggested by the juxtaposition) didn‘t sit right with me. Then I realised why: that’s actually Monk‘s wife Nellie (of Crepuscule fame, and Monk fame, of course) 😊 Rest in Peace, Wayne Shorter.

Thanks very much; as long as it's finding an audience I don't worry too much about the numbers.
I agree this is one of the greatest jazz albums of the 60s in my opinion. It's quite different. Anything with Freddie Hubbard on I tend to love.
Yes, me too.
5 stars record for me. My all time favorite jazz record.
Well done man! great to see someone with such knowledge on this subject pour it out. keep doing what you doing!
Thanks very much. A labour of love!
Great review! Very informative as well. One of the greatest jazz albums of all time in my view.
Thank you. It absolutely is.

Yes, I had originally thought it was Naima in the photo, and had used it before, but realized my error.
