Get good enough skills to hit master league mode, then just play play play. More master league mode is better. As much as you can. If you can sit and have games running all day, you'll be able to slowly start to improve, even without spending money. Obviously $$$ is a shortcut, but if you can run games you can hit 100OVR in a few months of starting.
