the Posca really thick pens i find last longer with the black boxes than the smaller ones :) just that it covers a bigger area without going over it as many times and using unnecessary amounts of ink :)

Great BuJo! I have a huge goal for 2019, So despite watching numerous videos, including yours, I was not able to set up a wonderful bullet journal like this one. I chose to go with a Traveler’s Notebook, so that I can change the inserts as I need to. I started in January, and have read 132 books so far. Using the inserts allows me to track everything pretty much the same as I have seen here. I am using stickers and Washi Tape for decorating purposes.
Fabercastell pencils are incredible for blending so that's an awesome choice. Really recommend muji gel pens too because they're amazing and the sakura pigma microns. Really like the simplicity of black and white contrast, I defo need to pick up the posca cause my white gel pen isn't opaque enough against black. Super fun video!

For the black boxes you should just use a thin layer of acrylic paint with a paint brush. It’s super dark, affordable, and the white posca should work well on it when it dries. Also if the layer is thin enough it should dry fast
Your bullet journal is so pretty. I wouldn’t have the passion and art skills to design every page myself. But it’s such a cool idea to track your reading.
Really enjoy seeing bullet journals. I’ve been bullet journaling since last year but hoping to combine life/reading and more in mine. Love the tracker to see how many physical/ebooks etc books you read that month! 🥰
I really like the idea of a reading journal. I especially love the reading goals pages you made! For writing on black I prefer the white UNI-ball Signo gel pen because it shows up much better than my posca's do.
Some one may have said this already, but instead of using pen to fill in large spaces (like where you used the black and had the white written over it) use washi tape! Just get black washi tape and that will allow you to not use up so much pen. I saw 'browsing for books' do it and was like that is a great idea! Love your journal. I'm just looking into starting my own reading bullet journal as well!

Your Reading Bujo is cuuuute 😍 I use a Tombow brush pen for my reading bujo and i love it! I think that will also be useful for filling in blocks and it comes in soooo many colors!

I like using the tombow dual brush pens. They have a thin side for writing and a brush side for coloring in. They don't bleed too bad through the paper.

I don't have a separate reading journal but just smash everything into my bullet journal but that first spread is so amazing. Why didn't I think of that? I need a clear tracker for how many books I read and if I meet any of my goals, Goodreads is not giving me that.
