I have always wanted one of the early 70s road runner or Sattelite
I really like the way you work on stuff, I'm 62 and it takes me back to when I was your age, working a full time job and trying to get by fixing my old rides as cheap as possible and trying to make do with what I had or could buy at the junkyard. Not like these guys that can just order everything new, keep up the videos 😊🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Ron I bet you have some cool old car stories.
Back in the day we all used a little water to clean out carbon. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't! Today's chemicals are much better now. Very good video Nick.
Thanks again Robert
Good luck with your build. Hope to see more soon.
Thank you!
Great video. Never seen that water trick thru the carb. After checking the front end. Looks promising. And after your body work. Should be an easy flip. Thanks for sharing!
💯👍👊
I really think the water steaming works better than the Berryman or seafoam. One day I'll have to try it on 2 motors and pull the heads see which one cleans carbon out better.
You rev motor max and poor glass of water do IT all the time after valve work
The 20 yr old gas and debris in the tank is probably what fouled up the carburetor. I've done a lot of this sort of thing, and usually if something has been sitting as much as 4 years, don't run it off the tank, hook up a jug to get it running, and pull the tank and inspect it, I usually was it out with a pressure washer to get the loose stuff out, then put the filler neck in the tank and put a bolt in the hose on the sending unit and put a clamp on and tighten it, the pour in a 2 and1/2 gallon jug of purple power ,fill it up the rest of the way with water and let it set a few days, then empty it out and wash repeatedly with the pressure washer, doesn't have to be a big one just as good as a car wash, this generally does really good
Thanks for this info tommy
Thumbs up 👍
Thank ya thank ya!
Looks like some good projects in that yard
Lots of cool stuff
On the older Mopars, anything rear wheel drive and carbureted, 1/4 is typically running temperature. Besides pouring water down the carb, you can also use transmission fluid, but it will smoke quite a bit.
Didn't know that, all my other Mopars run warmer. When I shoot my infared thermometer on the thermostat housing it only gets up to 150. Definitely needs a thermostat though.
@@somewhatfast all my previous Mopars ran in that area, however when you increase performance, you increase heat, also back in the day your thermostat options were commonly 160 or 180. The 195's of today may read a little higher. I do know that slant 6's run very cool, and big blocks are the hottest.
Thanks!
Oh man thanks Terry! I'll put that toward some 80 grit sandpaper so I can wrap up the body work on this car! 😎
Always enjoy your videos
🤘Thank you Brian!
I want that ram charger from that junkyard you’re driving through at the end of the video❤
Browne auto salvage they have like 5000 classic vehicles!
I heard a horrible squeaking noise while you were under the car inspecting the front end. Sounded kind of familiar but I couldn't quite place it. 🤣 Great video the car is coming along nicely
😂Dang forgot to edit that out
@@somewhatfastIt’s all good. I laughed my ass off.
Hey, that's cool you've got that much more capacity from the factory than Koda and I's cars. You do know we missed No Name Nationals. Next year 100% we gotta go.
Yeah that would be cool even to bring a slow car, still be fun.
Run a Lucas fuel ⛽️ additive 24/7 in her 👍🏻🇦🇺
Might try it out, thank you
👍
Thank you for commented David! Helps out bigtime
A lot of them Chrysler Fifth Avenue is for police interceptor so it could very well be a roller motor
That would be awesome
Fun Fact, Ford made a Coyote as an answer to the Plymouth Road Runner.
If you don't use a parts cleaner tank, ATF + 30% Acetone.
Awesome thanks william
👍💪
Commented back for the algorithm.
You ever sell that radio? If not, I’ll take it!
Catching up on the beginnings of this series. Great work!!!
Haven't sold it yet what do you think its worth?
@@somewhatfast DM’d you on instaG
It probably had a hole in it so they put J-B weld on it
Yup that's it

Thank you! I'm busy working on other things but I'm going to put out a video this coming week.
